I think the mindset of waiting for 1.0 is outdated, you can buy it and have tons of fun with it this year. Gwent in currently in beta and it is one of my games of the year. I think early access games should have 2 rounds of consideration, if it is in a state that could be included in GOTY then it is eligible that year, if not then the year it "comes" out.

I love gwent hearthstone is ok I will most likely play this.

Nioh is my game of the year I did all the missions and have like 80 plus hours in it. The combat is so fluid and you can get into a great flow state with it.

I am replaying Jagged Alliance 2 right now, it is crazy how much personality they give each of the mercs when they only have like 15 lines of dialogue. Ivan and Scope forever!!!! Also Gwent is really fun.

System Shock 2 and on the strategy side in Jagged Alliance 2 you really have to manage your ammo for your mercs.

In Oni ammo and guns are very scarce.
