It's a shame they don't allow you to change your scale in Medium so you could make things look gigantic even if it was at a lower resolution. Even be able to walk along the surface of anything you make and adjust your size accordingly would be great. Not sure why VR doesn't take advantage of this more and give user options.

But it's the first thing I've seen in VR that would make me want to drop the $1200 on.

You can. Resolution affects the level of detail you can manipulate within a layer, but the size of the entire canvas can be scaled from about the size of a loaf of bread to the size of a five-story building (just my general estimation, not based on measurement). You use a "pinch to zoom" type gesture with your arms while both Grip Buttons are held.

For instance, I made a model of a dragon-like critter. Most of the work was done with the creature at about dog-scale and horse-scale, but to add detail to the eyes, I scaled it up to where I could stand in the eye socket.

I love GBeast so much. I love Brad & Jeff, but I feel like this could have been a quiet, dismissive, shruggy GBWest QL. Instead, we got treated to a great conversation about the meaning and purpose of dance and and the formative consequences of childhood experiences.

Alex, Vinny, and Dan, thank you for being interesting dudes.

I was hoping they'd check out BlazeRush, since it wasn't working in the first Oculus VR stream. It's a fun little combat racing game that doesn't take itself too seriously, and the VR aspect makes it feel convincingly like a toy playset. Jeff would probably enjoy it!

This whole stream probably would have been better stretched over three days or something. Between the guys getting up hours early, struggling with game installs and setup for 11 hours, and not properly fitting the headset for each user, it's no wonder they were fatigued and grumpy by the end of it.

I watch and enjoy GB videos every day, but this isn't their best work.

If this game's actual environment were not a terrible maze of the same hallway, I think this could have actually been a weirdly cool game. Conceptually it had some really cool elements, but wow does it actually look unplayable in practice. If it was a more interesting to walk around, and navigable station I think it would actually be pretty cool.

That is for the purposes of it being an actual playable game, for this video, IT WAS PERFECT. Man that was a hilarious one, just Alex losing his mind, and them following that guard... which ended in the perfect way.

It's not that confusing. After they passed a few intersections, the number system became obvious. The station is composed of several decks, each of which have two concentric rings of halls/rooms. The first number is the ring you occupy of the current deck (inner ring is 1, outer ring is 2). The second number is the octant you're in, and the third is the room number the sign is pointing at.

I wish they'd have figured that out early, or seen chat explaining it. This looks like it could be a really cool game once you get over the navigation hurdle.
