For the 30fps cutscenes on PC Monster Hunter Rise: they're not pre-rendered, you can use the RiseTweaks mod to remove the arbitrary framerate and image quality cap on them.
Worth noting that on the latest Waypoint Radio episode, noted Dynasty Warriors enthusiast Austin Walker said he was having a bad time with this installment due to frame drops into the tens on a PS4 Pro, along with uninspired open world design and low production values in the story.
@spoonman671: There's an upgrade very early in the weapon skill tree that makes your dodges double as Ki pulses. Since your natural instinct will be to dodge away after a combo anyway, it's excellent for easing yourself into the mechanic.
@spakkle: This is also bad when you need to recognise characters. D.VA, Symmetra, and Tracer with alternate skins all look quite similar at a distance.
Ana looks pretty distinct at least, but I'm not sold on the voice. Maybe it's just the choice of one-liners.
Bloodborne and Dark Souls had the same developer. Maybe even the same director at one point? If that's true, then it doesn't bother me that those two titles are similar both mechanically and aesthetically. It makes sense- dev. wants to make another Souls game without making another Souls game just yet. FromSoftware doesn't exactly have a history of making any other type of game anyway.
Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Dark Souls III all have the same creative director, Hidetaka Miyazaki. But FromSoftware have totally made other games; the last two Armored Core games actually came out after Dark Souls. Oh yeah, and The Adventures of Cookie & Cream.
This game looked gorgeous in screenshots, but I'm a bit turned off by how it looks in motion. Character design in particular does not feel like it matches the world.
