I doubt anyone could ever have a negative experience with Journey. A simple yet elegant point A to B adventure with gorgeous visuals and a brilliant take on multiplayer mechanics.

For the past year or so I've just thought of JRPG's as relics of the past that only a small group of gaming culture still love. They're archaic, poorly paced, and often have dull gameplay mechanics. If other developers recognize the progress Monolith has made to this genre Xenoblade could be the most important release this year, to me anyway.

Kinda like "50 Shades of Grey" but for gross anime nerds. The amount of people that played this trite due to my influence (like 4 people!) brings me more joy than any other game this year.

Did you see the part where the game pulled the rug out from under your feet and you started discussing it with your friends? That was pretty cool. Great game made by a lovable asshole.

This game demands the motherfucking respect and full attention of the player. It's a cover-based Gears of War board game with awesome resource management.

A lovely exercise in achieving nothing. Pure gameplay extract for twitchy idiots like myself who love skill-based time wasters.

Sometimes I just wanna shoot some dudes. And this game looks like METROID PRIME. The story will make you either pull up a wiki or skip cutscenes but the open-ended combat more than makes up for it. I love me some fucking SWAT too.

Bullets! Pretty colors! I got to like 40ish on the world leaderboards. Fun game.

An adorable action-platformer that never quite made it over until now. Anybody who loves retro games should give it a shot. Use a guide for the Ice Pyramid, tho.
