The best Mega Man game ever made...yes, it's even better than Mega Man 2.

  • Grade: 9/10

    <br><br>

Finding ways to screw over your pal is almost as amusing as figuring out the puzzles themselves.

  • Grade: 8.5/10

    <br><br>

Guybrush Threepwood, mighty pirate, adventures through a chain of wacky-ass islands to save his beloved from the clutches of Zombie LeChuck! Oh, and beware of limb-stealing, crazy French scientists, too.

  • Grade: 8/10

    <br><br>

Clever puzzle-platformer that let's you turn the world upside down (literally). Be careful with the orientation though, because gravity is a bitch.

  • Grade: 8/10

    <br><br>

A simple run-and-jump platformer with a genius twist: A playful, yet smiteful God delivers new bastardly rules each stage to make your journey a stroll through hell.

  • Grade: 8/10

    <br><br>

A Robert Rodriguez-inspired side-scrolling beat-'em-up that features some sick weaponry, amazing grindhouse art design, and twinge of skill to elevate it above others of its genre.

  • Grade: 8/10

    <br><br>

An upbeat love song to classic games of yore. Smash through Canada with Scotty and co., and enjoy the eye-catching visuals by the talented Paul Robertson and funky chiptune music by Anamanaguchi.

  • Grade: 8/10

    <br><br>

Intense top-down car shooter injected with a whopping dose of testosterone and 90's action movie stereotypes.

  • Grade: 7.5/10

    <br><br>

It's a Metroidvania game that boasts a ton of charm out the wazoo. An adorably creepy atmosphere, a slew of unique and interesting weaponry, little dialogue but tons of personality, killer music...what's not to love?

  • Grade: 7.5/10

    <br><br>

    Spikes! Spikes! Everywhere there's spikes!

  • Grade: 7.5/10

    <br><br>

Pew Pew Pew! More puzzler than shooter, but pure fun either way. The momentum and fluid dynamics just feel so damn perfect that you can't help but smile even when you inadvertently dive into a pit of lava.

  • Grade: 7.5/10

    <br><br>

    Twisted fucking kids.

  • Grade: 7.5/10

    <br><br>

Another solid entry in the line of classic 8-bit Mega Man games, and with some of the most kickass Wily Stage music to boot. That new Block Devil is a helluva bitch, though.

  • Grade: 7.5/10

    <br><br>

Zen as all hell, with some of the coolest use of Wii motion control to date. You're like a leaf in the wind!

  • Grade: 7/10

    <br><br>

Five of the most absurdly epic 2D boss battles you'll see.

  • Grade: 7/10

    <br><br>

The 4th (5th if you count S&K) mainline Sonic game caught a lot of flak for not being EXACTLY like its predecessors. Face it, we're never getting a true Sonic game again, but if you take the time to get used to the new physics, there's some fun to be had here as well.

  • Grade: 7/10

    <br><br>

It's an okay follow-up to the first Shooter. The few new wrinkles it added into the mix were sort of hit or miss with me though. The first two stages weren't very memorable, but thankfully the last one made up for it big time.

  • Grade: 7/10

    <br><br>

It's got its share of frustrations, but the payoff can be worth it. There's a deep combat system, masochistically fun platforming segments, kickass music, and smooth-as-silk animation, but niggling issues like imprecise movement, poorly done sihoutte areas, and cheap hits on wake up hold it back from true greatness.

  • Grade: 7/10

    <br><br>

Charming as all get-out. It's not an especially punishing platformer like VVVVVV, but it's challenging enough to keep you engaged along with its fresh ideas.

  • Grade: 7/10

    <br><br>

Fun puzzles reminiscent of Clank's temporal missions in A Crack In Time. I really dig the whole classic silent film atmosphere as well. And pies!

  • Grade: 7/10

    <br><br>

I really want to love this game since it's got charm out the wazoo, but the puzzles are so damn frustrating and obtuse sometimes that I was pretty much just clicking randomly and hoping something would pan out on its own.

  • Grade: 6/10

    <br><br>

Gorgeous piece of work all around, especially the backdrops that look as if they came straight from a Monet painting. Unfortunately, I just couldn't wrap my mind around the temporal puzzles (which were extremely well done from what I can gather). It's a fault that lies with me entirely, I know, so give this a 10/10 if your brain can handle it.

  • Grade: 6/10

Crazy clusterfuck of lights and explosions. Fun way to burn off a few minutes here and there.

  • Grade: 6/10

From the same creator of Machinarium, I believe. If you liked one, you'll probably like the other. This is a lot shorter and simpler in scope, the puzzles are a bit easier, but it still shares that quirky charm. Not a bad way to burn a few minutes...plus, it's free!
