List items

  • Pretty good JRPG for PC. Got it off Gamersgate (DRM-free). Running the item shop is actually more fun than the dungeon crawling.

  • PC arena-based FPS via GOG, DRM-free. One of the better Quake 3 clones. Pretty good, but not as good as Open Arena.

  • PC game via Steam. Damn good dungeon defence game with tons of content and unlockables. Plays well with either mouse & keyboard or Xinput (360 or Ligitech F310/F510/F710) gamepad. Caught it on a Steam sale and love it.

  • PC game via Gamersgate, DRM-free. Damn good 2D action-platformer, with a Metroid-ish vibe and LOW hardware requirements. Plays great with a USB gamepad, DirectInput or Xinput.

  • PC version via Steam. Damn good fun, in both single player and co-op campaign.

  • PC version, via Gamersgate, DRM-free. Pretty fun FPS with a creepy vibe. A good throwback to the Doom and Quake days.

  • PC game via GOG, DRM-free. Pretty damn good FPS of the Painkiller/Quake mold. Modest hardware requirements add to the accessibility.

  • DRM-free, via GOG. Every bit worth owning.

  • PC version, via Steam. Damn good FPS meets RPG. Right up there with the Deus Ex series.

  • PC dungeon crawler RPG, via Steam. Damn good sequel to one of my fav games in the genre. Still would prefer a DRM-free (GOG) version, though.

  • PC version, via GOG, DRM-free. Plays like Morrowind or Oblivion. Graphics fall somewhere between Morrowind and Oblivion. My only gripes are crappy voice-acting and framerate hiccups.

  • PC version, via Steam. Probably among the absolute best FPSes ever created. Damn good story and presentation, with alotta focus on first person platforming and environmental puzzles.

  • PC version, via Steam. Proof that not everything first person has to be a "shooter" to be great.

  • PC version, via Steam. Damn good -and funny- use of the Star Wars universe.

  • PC version, via GOG, DRM-free. Not as good as the original, but still among the best FPSes out there.

  • PC version, via GOG, DRM-free. One of THE reasons why I'm a fan of BioWare's work.

  • PC version, via GOG, DRM-free. A damn good, if at times frustrating, puzzle game. And don't get started on the artstyle -Puddle is practically an arthouse.

  • PC version, via Steam. Builds on everything that made GTAIII great.

  • PC version via Steam. Takes every feature from GTAIII and Vice City and multiplies it. The result is one HUGE sandbox game. Weak story though.

  • PC version via Steam. Every bit worth owning. Along with Deus Ex and Unreal Tournament, Half-Life revolutionized FPSes.

  • PC version, via Steam. Damn good platformer. Very much influenced by the 8bit and 16bit era Sonic and Mario games, with speed and timing leaning much more in Sonic's direction. Killer soundtrack and art design as well.

  • PC version, via Steam. Holy bejeezuzz. Valve took everything that made Portal (in The Orange Box) great and expanded on it exponentially. Portal 2, like Portal, proves that a great first person game doesn't always need to be a "shooter".

  • PC game, via GOG, DRM-free. Double Fine does it again. A very charming and fun RPG with an endearing graphic style and sense of humor. Love it.

  • PC version, via Steam. Damn good sequel to a damn good game. Addstoeverything that made L4D great and the PC version even includes the campaigns from the first game.

  • PC version, via GOG, DRM-free. Damn good Oblivion-ish action RPG. Not quite as customizable as Oblivion. But, Divinity II edges out Oblivion in the combat department. Very much worth owning.
