Some time context for other scientists, DOA2U was the first fighting game to have an online lobby system that actually worked. MK Deception which came out around the same time was capped to 4 players and barely worked, DOA2U could do 16 players flawlessly.
I was really confused by Jeff and Dan being so amazed at how smart Videl is, because I remember basically everyone in Gohan's school being kind of dumb. So I went back and compared Kai to the original dub, and holy shit Videl is basically a whole different character in Kai.
Also Kai cuts out Gohan getting blackmailed on to going on a date in the same episode they talk about Videl trying to get the water tank. It's like 80% of the original episode. Now I kind of want to know if anything else got cut that significantly.
I was wondering if you would mention it, but the bullet audio for MW remaster is so much worse than the original audio. A friend pointed it out to me how much more muffled the new bullets sound when compared to the much tinnier original sounds.

The biggest changes in 5.66 were primarily the removal/limiting of Rowing and specific frame canceling moves(the Infinity Dagger and being able to clone Bal Bados' arms were the big ones). Rowing is actually super easy to do, all it is just rapidly switching between directions while mashing the cancel button to lock your speed. It gives you the speed of dashing without any of the drawbacks.
You kind of got it with Raiden about blocking but I'd thought I'd expand on it a little. LW is for most characters their projectile blocking attack, it's usually a non light projectile that upon detonation throws up a large spherical explosion that blocks incoming projectiles. There execptions to this rule such a Specineff's homing attack and Dordray's drill.
Fei Yen, I've argued for years as being the best VOOT character based solely off of her Hyper mode, when you get her below 50% health she gains a double speed and damage buff, eclipsing just about everyone else.
Bal Bados, besides your playing of him making me cry, is a super cool dude who can make laser pyramids and Black Holes. To do it you need to have all of your limbs in option mode, (LTRW, LTLW, cLTRW, cLTLW) and then you're going to press cRTCW, if you're playing the default 360 controls you'll mash A+B+LT+RT at the same time. For style points summon a black hole from it by pressing RTCW when your CW gauge is full. You can only summon one per match.
