A few months ago I bought Rayman 2 again because I had lost my original copy. It still plays great, but I started wondering if Ubisoft will ever put out a fourth Rayman game. Personally, I think the Rabbids games are ok, but they seem to have taken the focus away from a much better series. Ubisoft seems to be doing that a lot lately. Instead of a sequel to Prince of Persia 08, they instead are putting time into making a PoP game based on the upcoming movie (How will I ever find out what happened to Eika and the other humorous/interesting prince rather than the goofy/brokeback prince in the movie?). I hope that sequels for both come out, but who knows what will happen...

No... Rayman 4 will not come out.  Most people have forgotten about it.  But I would play Rayman 4 if it came out.

No, I don't think so. I mean, I never liked Rayman anyway, but whatevs. Floating limbs? What is this, the 70s?

It dosent seem lilkely, apart from the Rabbids games the last Rayman games I can think of was a DSi Ware port of the original 2d Rayman (though ive not played it yet its supposed to be made easier and uses a worse port with less levels or something) and Rayman DS which is Rayman 2 ported to the DS. Although looking up Wikipedia to make sure I havent missed anything I found out that the GBA and DS versions of Rayman Raving Rabbids looks like a 2d (3d graphics) platformer like the original Rayman but it seems to have none of the style of the original.

I don't think we will ever see a fourth Rayman, no. I kinda have mixed feelings about that. The original Rayman is pure excellence, the second is also fairly good, but the third is just crap. So if a fourth will be released, will it be any good is all I'm saying. I guess I would have played it if it ever came out, but again, I doubt its going to be anywhere near as good as the first or the second.

" @Niccoles: I think that all the Rabbids games are an interesting spinoff, and I extremely doubt they will ever dissapear given their popularity.   However the game they are making for the PoP movie will fail miserably, and that will be that. "

I would love to see a 4th Rayman game come out, but i doubt it will.

Man.. I've been hoping for this for a long time. 
 
But it looks like Ancel is wrapped up in other projects, a BG&E2 is on the way, which is needed more than a 4th Rayman, i'd say. But I'd love to see this in some way or another, one of the greats in platforming.

I'd like to play it. Combat was sort of like Zelda, platforming was solid. The 2d games were shitty, though. Really there's one great Rayman game.
