@armcommander: I'm glad my backlog is so large. I'm constantly playing games 1-3 years after they come out. This game should be okay in 2022.

Vinny builds bridges like I do. Just tons of triangles everywhere with very little rhyme or reason.

@sweetz: I just platinumed this game and it actually goes some places and explores some very serious themes. The story and characters completely drove the game and by the end I found myself profoundly moved and pondering some deep philosophical ideas about society. No joke. The game actually gets more and more interesting as it goes. I did not expect it. But it's an amazing game imo.

@shagge: You know you can change the difficulty at any time right? I recommend it. I started on Normal and it quickly got way too easy. I moved up to Hard and now that's getting easy after getting a bunch of powers and upgrades. Moving it up to Nightmare next time I play.

Absolutely play this game on Hard or Nightmare. Normal mode is just way too easy. Even Hard mode becomes mostly a breeze once you unlock a few powers and weapons. Bump up the difficulty if you find yourself just mindlessly walking through fights. You'll have to use the full swath of your abilities which really makes it more fun imo. A certain fight that takes 15 seconds on Normal mode is so much better when you actually have to work at it.

@dryker: I agree. I'd take IV and VI any day over VII. I've played every FF and I would put half of them over VII. It's painfully mediocre imo.

@mrpeatie: It's so crazy to see how differently Alex is playing this game than I did. Wanting to just stand there with a pistol and fire until everything is dead seems like the most boring thing in the world. Every combat I would be using my teammates powers with my own to combo. Also a lot of storming and changing cover and angles. A big part of it seems to be that Alex has no interest in his squadmates, letting them autolevel up and just use whatever gun they happen to have equipped. Maybe he's doing it for the videos to streamline them more, but I feel it would be more entertaining if he actually manually did all that stuff and knew what his squadmates were capable of. Again, the game isn't hard and as he's said they seem to be doing fine. It's just boring to ignore all that stuff imo.

@relkin: Or if you played some of the Call of Duty games, the pellets disappear after about 6 feet

@doctordonkey: This is something I've absolutely noticed. Borderlands 1 and 2, soldier class. Every Mass Effect game, soldier. Any time they let you pick something different Jeff says "I just want the guy that shoots the gun good."

I really wish he had tried Storm or Interceptor.
