I'll echo the collective head-scratching at not a single mention of FFXV in the music category. I guess no one played it. I mean, they can't play everything, but not a single one of them played it?
On the ME2 controversy: it didn't win because you have the option of playing it on PC. No such option exists for RDR. The best way to play it is on XB1 through backwards compatibility. It was not, as so many people seem convinced, a Best of Generation award. (But for the record RDR is that game... subjectively speaking, of course.)
FuckInside: No, fuck you guys. Don't sell other people's experiences short. That was my 2nd biggest wtf moment of the year after the Witness, and I was thinking about it and chatting to people about it for weeks. Don't know what's going on? That's the strength of the game, it's open to interpretation. There are any number of message boards where folks have come up with thoughtful, compelling and mind-blowing theories.
And when you're participating in an awards panel and you're outnumbered, be man enough to graciously object then admit you've been outvoted. Christ, what a performance.
