Idk about this scan converter that Alex got but it at least seems to do the bare minimum, ie not misinterpret 240p games as 480i. Lots of those cheap scalers are not suitable for old video games and introduce interlacing artifacts in games that were never interlaced to begin with.

Turn on the 2x scaling, then you can run it at your monitor's full resolution, it's the red X in the menu.

@biggnife: They've done this because it's easier to have 1 version globally, and in a sense the European version has more features than the NA version because it has more language options, so they picked that one.

Not sure why Vinny thinks it's a good idea to play these with a joystick instead of just using the mouse.

Silpheed is def using a lot of pre-rendered stuff, but the reason it looks so good is that it's all flat shaded.

Yakuza 3 and 4 are the same engine, 5 uses an engine that's much closer to the one in 0.

And yes that bum is indeed Akiyama, it's a scene that takes place during the ending of Yakuza 1, but I guess it stands to reason that Alex doesn't recognize these events as he hasn't finished Kiwami yet.
