I'd like them to look at new games. There are more games than ever coming at me on all kinds of subscription services. Giant Bomb used to be my go to place to help sort through the mess. Now I load up the front page for the first time in a month and there's been a single Quick Look in August. If I didn't know any better, I would just assume the site is dead or on life support.

I canceled my sub after 8 years. As much as I like Jeff Grubb and Dan, the only thing that would get me back is the basic content that Giant Bomb was built on.

@spacemanspiff00: Most bugs are easy to forget/forgive when the game checkpoints constantly and reloads in 2 seconds.

I have heard 3rd hand (don’t trust me) from a press sneak fuck (don’t trust me) that there was definitely a falling out with Boss Jeff. Regardless of the specific reasons, when three people put in their notice at the same time, they are not happy.

Thousands of patreons and Twitch subscribers on day one is a very happy story. I’m looking forward to what both sites do next.

@bybeach: The Steam controller may have been discontinued after four years, but it made many older PC games accessible to more people and it's still supported to this day.

You can purchase an upgrade for Miles Morales in the game. Try starting a new game and there should be a slot that lets you upgrade.

Speedify is a decent VPN that will that you prioritize which connection is used and set download limits on each one (or combine them).

The primary difference is the GPU. If developers are actually aiming for a native 4K target on the Series X, the S should have no problem running those same games at lower resolution with the appropriate textures.

It's not what I wanted out after playing 1&2, but it is a pretty excellent game on its own. It is definitely bloated with bad side content, that can luckily be ignored for the most part.

The violence in the cutscenes actually seemed... restrained compared to similar media (The Walking Dead). I found the level of detail they put into murdering enemies during gameplay kind of hilarious though. High fidelity or not, blowing someone’s leg off feels just as cheesy as it did in Soldier of Fortune 2, 20 years ago.

Shenmue III is absolutely ridiculous and exactly what I would have expected if it had come out in 2003. The dialog and acting are so incredibly awkward and bad, there is almost no way that it wasn’t intentionality made this way. It is truly a cursed thing to behold.
