rondo of blood is a much better game and directly ties to symphony of the night "story" wise, thats why I think ideally they should play bloodlines and then rondo to finish the traditional games before moving on to symphony of the night and into the rpg castlevania games

@thesecondagent: sutherland's cut dialog's is strange because it could of easly been in the game and would of made him being so silent less awkard and strange, it nearly make me think it was kojima trying to make a continued statement about language. I kinda still wish it was in the final game though

@thefantasticfillip: well I cant believe it but I have actually been warmed up to the ending of MGS V because of this write up. The medic being an empty husk by the end of his coma is "infected" by big bosses persona by zero and then used by big boss for his own agenda.

My problem was first that it is a medic being described as MSF's best man (even though his job is staying in a helicopter whilst big boss does all the hard work), but it had to be someone in that helicopter around the same age who could essential be a blank slate for big boss's memory's to imprint on

secondly I didnt like the fact I wasnt playing as big boss and that they were destroying the character that I had played for two previous games (kinda saying anyone can be big boss if implanted with his memorys, implying that he maybe more legend than fact when I had done super badass stuff in two previous games with him). Kojima has essentially stated from the beginning that meme is stronger than gene's with liquid being beaten by the inferior clone solid. This write up did let me understand that it essentially showed the true big boss to be evil; to be complicit in creating a double and destroying his double as and when it fit his agenda. He could do anything in the name of revenge, even go against his own morals, he hated being cloned so using a body double and not caring about that person, using that person as a tool rather than a partner (I feel him sating they were partners was more about big boss trying to manipulate venom more than actually mean it) is something I could see him doing.

I think this should of been explained better by Kojima (as I must of blinked when that post credit paragraph explanation happened) and I would of liked a better detail of the outer heaven plan was it solely to build a warriors paradise, when did the anti patriot scheme start... only post real big boss death/another coma at the end of MG2?

works as a story, does still kinda suck that your playing as someone whos being duped but the whole point of phantom pain is the continual cycle of revenge and hatred and the player at the end of the game must feel the same anger that venom does realising he has been duped and lied to

I do hope as the final mission was the laziest final mission I've seen in any game. having you play the first mission with very little changes, why didnt they let you play from the perspective of the real big boss to change it up, even a little bit?

and I am not a huge fan of the twist yeah the MSF Medic was big boss's best man... then why was he relegated to medic??? I get the point it was supposed to be the actual player, but it felt more that kojima had to tie it directly to people finding out he used Kiefier's line to another character and changed the pitch, thank god the body double had nearly the same vocal cords as big boss or what would they have done. I keep telling myself that the double must be solidus to at least make him seem cooler in my mind than a Medic that just needed hypnotizing to be on the same level as big boss the legendary solider... but that would still mean solidus's origin is being big boss's medic thats had alot of plastic surgery and hypnotizing. Big boss felt so violated of being cloned he cut ties with his country he sure dosnt care when they give someone else his name and face to do things as they want. The endings dumb, Hey they changed Mass Effect 3's ending via DLC so who knows

if there is DLC it has to have a new area as after the main missions and 157 side ops the areas do become a bit old hat and episode 51 was supposed to feature a new island.

but the game is really value for money as it is as ive played it for 70 hours and still going

I really dont think Konami would let them spend anymore money on the game as I feel the cuts were due to budget constraints than what Kojima wanted, Konami sounds like an awful place to work, I dont think Kojima would put himself through having to work there longer than he needed to.

@y2ken: With the Giantbomb cast, the Giantbeast cast, 8 - 4 play, Alt + F1, Danswers and The powerbomb cast there must be some weeks you don't sleep. is there any other site with more podcasts especially with such a relatively small crew
