Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE - Baby's First Persona 0

Scroll down to read the review, or watch it in video form here!Tokyo Mirage Sessions # FE is the current 1st place contender for most utterly stupid game title of 2016. It’s also a turn-based JRPG developed jointly by Intelligent Systems, creators of the Fire Emblem series, & Atlus, the guys behind the extremely dark and mature Shin Megami Tensei series, and published by Nintendo on the Wii U.The story takes place in modern-ish day Tokyo. A series of mysterious incidents have begun occ...

Ara Fell - 16-Bit RPG Bliss 0

Scroll down to read the review, or watch it in video form here!INTROAra fell is a turn-based indie RPG developed by Stegosoft Games and released on PC. It is created in a style reminiscent of classical 16-bit sprite based RPGs such as Chrono Trigger & Final Fantasy or more recently Radiant Historia. The story takes place on floating islands of Ara Fell, and centers around a young girl named Lita who discovers a magical macguffin that marks her as the chosen one who will save the world from to...

Xenoblade Chronicles X - Really Feelin' It on Different Planet 0

Scroll down to read the review, or watch it in video form here: https://youtu.be/g4b1WUSjcscI'm not going to bother betting around the bush and be straight up with this one. Xenoblade Chronicles X is amazing. I love it so much. If all you want to know is whatever or not the game is worth by the answer is yes, yes, and YES! It does such a great job at blending the scale and imagination of the original game with lots of new ideas. Granted while some of these ideas may not work as well as others, a...

Star Wars: Battlefront - In the Dark Times 0

Guys...Battlefront depresses me. Not exactly because it's bad. Quite the contrary in fact. But When you place this new Battlefront up against the original two released in the last decade, it's a prime example of how much our gaming culture and what we expect from our games has devolved. And I'm not even talking just about price, although a $50 Season Pass is inexcusable on it's own.I'm taking how we now sit in the year 2015, and there people singing praises of a game that, with this amount of co...

The Legend of Legacy - Bravely Mediocrity 0

I'm going to start this review off by making something clear. As of writing this review, I have not *technically* finished the Legend of Legacy. And too be honest, with a good 5-10 hours played, I have no desire to continue. For those unaware, I'm a huge fan of Jrpgs. As in classical Jrpgs. You know like Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, even more Radiant Historia or Bravely Default. I'm the type of guy who will put up with turn based combat, random encounters, and even grind if I feel like there's...

Persona 4: Dancing All Night - Midnight Stage Fever 0

I'm continuously surprised by the ways Atlus can come up with for an excuse to revisit Persona 4. I mean in addition to the first game we've had an animated series, a fighting game, a golden re-release of the original game, a Persona 3 crossover, another animated series based on the golden version of the game, a sequel to the fighting game, and now a dancing game. If I didn't now any better, I'd almost be tempted to say that Atlus has a bit of an obsession with an over saturating of Persona 4. A...

Conception II - Notice me, Persona-Senpai 0

This game wants to be Persona. It wants to be Persona sooooo bad. It was even published by Atlus USA. Now that isn't necessarily a bad thing. The Persona formula of merging JRPG gameplay with visual novel elements can be very addictive and engaging when done right. When done wrong it ends up like....well, not quite Conception II.The thing is that, while nothing is done especially bad, Conception II doesn't exactly do anything extraordinary either. Ultimately the game simply falls into a cycle of...
