Ridiculously complicated, but oh so good. Watch out for that bear in the lake.

Create a fort, sky-bridge, underground hobo-mine. SHAPE THE WORLD.

This game involves actually trying to shape a piece of metal with a hammer via real-time mouse actions... and indentured-servants (i.e. your unfortunate friends).

Keep in mind this was when the game first came out, and you had to guess/postulate exactly what components made up a spell (unique PER player character). Alchemy/Fletching/Tinkering are also pretty neat.
