The witty dialogue in the single player goes a long way for me. The multiplayer was a nice change of pace from the other big multiplayer shooters this year.

Super Street Fighter IV has its problems and limitations. It was also the only game for which I enthusiastically bought a hundred fifty dollar controller -- that has got to count for something.

Of the Civilization series, this one is the most fun to play.

I was surprised that RB 3 went so far with the pro level instruments. And then I was surprised that it turned out so well.

The initial launch plan to attach a gimped version of Jam to NBA Elite was one of the lamer boardroom decisions in gaming history, so to see that plan explode at the last minute, allowing NBA Jam to be released as a stand alone game in its full form on all three platforms -- well, it was like a game winning buzzer-beater from mid-court.

I normally don't like Halo, but this game is pretty solid. The story was even pretty good.
