I guess I really will have listened to 500 Bombcasts when the audio episode is posted tonight. Yeah, I don't think I've missed a single week since the site started. That's a lot of hours! Whatever, I've always done chores/worked out/walked to places while listening, so it's all good.
EDIT: Oh, and thanks for giving me a reason to look forward to Tuesday nights for nearly a decade! It's always been a treat.
Holy shit, they were playing a song by Capyac in To the Top! They've played at mine and my friends' house parties in the past! I wonder if they're about to get big...
EDIT: Just looked up Electric Hat Games, and they're based out of here in Austin, which explains it. Cool to see them rep the local scene!
That video is like a YouTube Poop of a video game cutscene. Fucking surreal. Everything I've seen about this game makes it seem like both the story planning and writing phase at the beginning of development and the polish and debugging stage at the end of development were extremely rushed and compromised. Given the pedigree of BioWare and Mass Effect, EA's resources, and the long development time, something doesn't add up. There must have been some fucked up stuff happening behind the scenes of the game's development. The dev team must not be happy about how the game turned out, either.
Fantastic article. And yeah, I know the rest of the world thinks it's ugly, but when I see an SNES, I think of magic. Glad to know you're working on the new Nye show!
