University Sucks

So I'm a 2nd year Finance Major, and this semester I'm taking 4 options: Classics, Intro Psychology, Intro Sociology, Intro to Computers.

If you read my bio it says that I am a web developer.

Intro to computers.

Isn't it great that technical school courses don't transfer properly?

That's all.

Welcome to Twin Peaks, Population 51 201

Hey Everyone, I posted a couple of weeks ago about downloading Twin Peaks and having a marathon (I am in Canada, therefore the CBS.com link does not work). I watched episode 0 (hour and 32 minutes, hopefully this is the pilot) and 1. Here are my thoughts:

The show starts out with some bad acting and some guy saying something before going out to the beach and finding the body of Laura Palmer. The first 30 minutes of the show are rather drab but gets better as soon as the lead character Dale Cooper is introduced. My immediate response was: "Thats... agent... York". The first thing Cooper does is drive into town while talking into a voice recorder he refers to as "Diane", or I guess I can assume that's who he's making the tapes for. The music gets all light hearted when he's around, and he seems immediately obsessed with the cherry pie from the local diner, the douglas fir trees in the country, and rabbits. He makes observations to Diane about the place he's staying. Hotel, lots of oak trim, and is given a coffee, smells it and says "Wait, wait, wait..." before making an observation about how splendid the coffee was. I know nothing of Twin Peaks and didn't realize how Twin Peaksy Deady Premonition really is. From the super weird FBI officer, the small town setting, the talks with "Diane" and strange references to things nobody seems to care about.

The investigation seems really slow at this point. Up to now they discover the letter 'R' under Laura's fingernail, and there was a survivor girl who was presumably attacked by the same person that killed Laura. There's this crazy guy Leo, who has a bloody ass shirt that he told his gf to wash, and she found it, and he put something in a sock and went to beat her up. There's the asian saw mill owner, something packard... who's sister in law is having sexual relations with some man who is trying to get the saw mill bankrupt. And Laura's 2 best friends (her best friend and her secret boyfriend) are actually in love with each other. Cooper suggests that Laura was doing cocaine and everyone seems to say that she quit, but was acting really strange before she died. She was out with her boyfriend (jake? james... don't remember) and she took off from his bike and was never seen again. Its also interesting to note that Laura gave her bf the other half of a heart necklace, which he buried in the forest to prevent himself from being found as a murderer. However, at the end of episode 0, someone finds the locket which is revealed to actually be her cooky psychiatrist.

Just a couple of notes, there's someone credited in the show as "Mary Jo Dechanel", and it turns out to be Zoey Dechanel's mother. Episode 2 starts with a "Previously on Twin Peeks" and shows clips I've never seen before. The wiki entry states that episode 2 has production errors at the beginning... so i'm really hoping I'm still watching in the correct order.

Well. Back to it.

Edit*: Turns out my episode 4 is actually my episode 2. Score.
