Shame that they're watching the extended versions for the rest of the series. While these versions are likely available to stream in the US and some other major countries, licensing & distribution deals mean that in most countries only the theatrical versions are available on streaming services. So little is gained by watching the extended ones too, since the time difference between the two versions are only about a minute or two. Not sure if that's worth inconveniencing the audience.
Short of buying the blu-rays (renting's not really a thing where I am), I guess I'm stuck with having to sync the theatrical version up every so often. Was a real hassle to do it for this one.
In any case, this series of podcasts is one of the best things the site has produced! They really should pull in Jeff and do one for Torque after they're done with these movies.
Ah, Dan still hasn't figured out Majima's nunchaku attack in the slugger style that absolutely breaks combat in his chapters. Enemies can barely touch you whilst you hit everyone in the vague proximity. Square x3, then mash triangle. Seriously, it's the best.
Jeff's position in the constantly rotating chair is one of the main reasons I listen to the Beastcast - so happy this podcast introduced me to him and his work.
All the best to you and your family Jeff - we all love you!
It never ceases to amaze me how Brad never notices the big black text on white background that says 'Trespassing' when entering a restricted area.
Also, THERE WAS NO NEED TO GO BACK FOR THE HELMUT COSTUME
Don't get me wrong, part of the charm of this stuff is feeling like you need to scream at the screen because they're making life so much harder for themselves than it needs to be, but yeah - THE SCREEN LITERALLY SAYS THE WORD 'TRESPASSING'
Like it literally came up as 'Trespassing' on the minimap, it said 'Found Trespassing' on screen, and they were in the process of trying to escort Dan out. He ran and it went wrong. It was fucking hilarious though.
