I really enjoyed this game, it's essentially a book. But, even though I get why it they were done this way, the more traditional half of the level up mechanics tossed on top of it kind of detract from what the game is. To me they end up making it feel like a 'your choices matter... but not really'.
The other half of the system works well for the game though, and I wish more emphasis was placed on that.
This did at least give a decent idea of what one would expect the game to be. Travelling across the country, doing side missions (deliveries/get the stolen package back from the mules) to get currency to upgrade/make gear, unlocking zones, and the occasional boss battle areas.
I do wonder what the balance of the more relaxed delivery missions vs action/stealth missions is like though.
Doesnt show up correctly where the usual podcasts do. Was an issue several times in a row a few weeks ago. Had to look at the download file name and compare to unknown artist file names to find it and play.
hopped into my first match about an hour after the game went live. within 1 minute a grown man on my team was already yelling about how i should be "ashamed of myself" for how bad i was playing and that i should stop playing video games for the rest of my life. suffice to say i will not be playing more of apex legends
I was told pretty early on by 1 guy that I stole his revive on my teammate and should be ashamed of myself. Luckily, every other team of randoms have been super friendly and like 99% of the time played together fairly well even without mics on most of them. It's been a good experience so far, but the group nature definitely leads to the same online bad egg people sometimes. Sorry to hear you had such a bad first experience cause of that one terrible person.
Anyone else having trouble with the last 2 mp3 versions of the premium podcast only showing up under "unknown artist/album" with their default download names like mc_39471913.mp3? Is the podcast being automatically exported from the video version incorrectly now? Or is it an issue on my end? (Using VLC on my phone to play the downloaded podcast from the link here)
