I pretty much only play games alone. I've never really been interested in connecting to a bunch of strangers while playing. At most I'll play a local co-op with friends or my kids.

My favorite franchise is/was Fallout and I bought Fallout 76 against my better judgement, thinking I could at least play with my son. Other players really ruined the experience for me. I haven't tried it since launch, but I was just bombarded with people screaming and swearing and just overall breaking the immersion for me. One guy was walking around loudly having a phone conversation without having turned off his mic. He went on and on about his upcoming vacation plans, how it will be his first time in Las Vegas and how excited he was. When asked to turn his mic off if he's on the phone he shouted "Welcome Fallout76, fucking deal with it." Annnd that was the last time I played 76 or any MMO type game.

I also tend to skew towards story heavy games which generally aren't multiplayer.

@flstyle: Awesome, thank you! I probably should have mentioned I have a premium membership so I can watch pretty much whatever people suggest on the site.

@nutter: Chinatown is rough, even before knowing about Polanski's predilections. It essentially ends with a man who raped his own daughter, getting away scot free. It does not leave you feeling very good about the world.

Failure to resolve this is going to result in some drastic course correction for the MCU.

Rumors were flying that the Dark Avengers might show up in Phase 5, but you can't really do that without Norman Osbourne. Although I suppose they could try to pull an Arrowverse and just swap Spidey for a different but similar NY based hero. If they pulled Daredevil over to the big screen they could bring with him The Kingpin and potentially Norman, without having to dip back into the Spiderverse. Sure, Daredevil doesn't deal with Norman often, but Oscorp is in NYC, and so is the Devil of Hell's Kitchen. Plus I just really like the actor who played Matt Murdock and would love to see him take advantage of that big screen clause in his contract.

All the character development done with Spiderman is going to be lost as well. Far From Home basically set him up as the new central hero of the MCU, giving him the resources of Tony Stark. Happy basically christened him the new Tony halfway through the film.

This might also cause issues for the upcoming Blade and Morbius projects as both characters have crossed paths with Spiderman in the past.

Short of killing Spiderman off, which would be a horrible bummer, I'm not sure how they can fix this. They're going to end up Captain Marveling him. "Hey, where's the kid?" "Off world, being busy, don't invoke his name!"

I guess the good news is they have until the end of Phase 4 to figure this out. Nothing listed in the next few years will suffer too terribly without Spiderman. Sure, it would be fun to cameo him in few films, but no one is going to be watching Doctor Strange and wondering what Peter Parker is up to.

Here's hoping they come to their senses sometime in the next four years and renegotiate!

Hobbs & Shaw

I'd give it a 6.5/10. It was a fairly solid entry into The Fast and The Furious franchise. Despite being Dom-less they still managed to make the main plot about fambly and had a bunch of touching scenes. They also managed to cast real life Moana as The Rock's daughter and she's pretty adorable. I also give the film bonus points for having The Rock do a traditional Samoan war chant (Haka) and dress in traditional clothing while beating the shit out of British agents with traditional Samoan weaponry.
There's a couple of clearly improvised banter scenes that went on a beat or so too long, one with Ryan Reynolds and the other Kevin Hart. The Kevin Hart scene cut very abruptly and felt as if it was unfinished. Ryan Reynolds shows up twice and is basically Deadpool in a business suit. From the content of the mid-credits scene it seems like his role will be increasing in the franchise as it goes forward. Idris Alba makes a good villain. He also manages to have amber colored eyes in this film too, just like his character Heimdall does in Thor.

There was less of an emphasis on cool cars in this film but a lot more fun spy stuff. At the very end of the film they do bust out a decent line-up of classic vehicles and perform the sort stunts the series is known for.

Really, if you enjoyed the crazier F&F movies (5-8) you'll probably enjoy this one too. I brought my 14 and 15 year old sons and they had a blast.

Hi I'm not PopeShabooda. PopeShabooda was my husband. He passed away in 2017 and for a while I couldn't really bring myself to watch or listen to much of Giantbomb's stuff. It reminded me too much of him.

I've recently decided to try and get back into things as I've missed the gang at GB and I've run out of other things to watch on the internet. If anyone can suggest some highlights from the last year and a half that would be good to help me get caught up on what's been going on with the duders at GB I'd greatly appreciate it. I listen to both the Bomb and Beastcast, but missed so many episodes I don't plan on going back and listening to every single one. Suggestions on must listen episodes, as well as much watch quicklooks and other content would be very much appreciated, thank you!

I also recently discovered this is one of the very few sites my work doesn't block, so I plan on lurking around here a lot more often now.

Holy cow, I wasn't expecting so many great responses so quickly. Thanks a ton, everyone.

I picked up a 2DS bundled with Mario Kart for $75, and grabbed New Super Mario 3D World and Fire Emblem Awakening to go with it. I'm also going to order Link Between Worlds.

The puzzle games people recommended are a great idea, but I'm a little leery of the fuzzy brain my medications can give me making things more frustrating than fun.

Pokemon was also a great suggestion. I'm pretty sure my kids have all of those laying around somewhere, so I'll give one of those a shot, too.

Thanks again for all the suggestions, duders, I really appreciate it.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice about Nintendo's handheld gaming options.

I'm about to turn 40, and I don't game nearly as much as I used to. When I do it's usually pretty mainstream stuff like Civ, or Titanfall (My favorite games of the past few years were Phantom Pain and XCOM).

I'm now going through some serious health issues that are leaving me with a lot of time spent laying down in need of distractions, which seems like something a 3DS would work well for.

While I've bought plenty of them for my kids, I've never actually played a Nintendo handheld, so I'm not really familiar with the differences. The 2DS seems really affordable, but that screen looks pretty small... Is it worth the extra $100 to go with a 3DSXL?

Also, and I'm sure this question is a minefield, but what games would you all recommend?

I'd really like something with a world I can escape into to not think about stuff, so I'm thinking RPG. I looked up the popular RPGs for 3DS, and they all seemed to be JRPGs. I'm not against the idea of JRPGs, but I think the only one I've ever played was Final Fantasy VII. Are the popular ones pretty accessible?

Thanks in advance for any answers, and for taking the time to read this long-ass post.

Also, unless he has an uncredited cameo, John Cusack is not in Hot Tub Time Machine 2.
