The ranking of the games in this best of 2009 list is based primarily on the personal amount of enjoyment I had with a particular title.

I would not even want to begin to think about the time I spent on this game. Yeah the career mode kind of sucked, but online was so rewarding. I got blisters on my hands from trying not to tap, I have mounted more men than I ever thought I would, I screamed when I got beat, jumped up and down when I got a comeback victory. I loved this game, cannot wait until 2010.

I never play on the PS3, I watch my movies on it that is all. I play everything on the 360. This game, I couldn't stop playing this game, this is the only game I have completed on the PS3. For me that says a lot.

I love Batman, and finally a game that was worthy of his awesomeness. Yes, his awesomeness.

Online franchise made this for me. A friend and I played through a season, and it was a blast. Didn't love the online because of way to many exploits, but the base game was a lot of fun.

An amazing game that I not only beat on the xbox, but proceeded to buy for the ds and beat. A game my wife and I both loved, my friends bought, and we had a few great online battles. Not to often an XBLA game takes over game time with friends, let alone a simple one like Peggle.

Lost and the Damned:
I loved the story of GTA4, when LATD came out I immediately jumped on the LATD bandwagon. And I was hooked, the story was not as good, but the game play was awesome, and the callbacks to GTA4 had me overly excited.

I love puzzles and I loved the first game, when the second one came stateside I immediately picked it up and beat it. Love it for the DS, great game.

Such an out there concept, but simply amazing. Free flowing, beautiful, fun, another game that both my wife and I enjoyed.

The sleeper for my top 10. I had no idea this would be this good, I normally hate trial and error games, but there was something about the physics of this game that just made it amazing. I ended up talking two other friends into this unknown game.

Amazing game. Awesome multiplayer, spec ops is fun, single player is outstanding. One of the more beautiful games.
