@oni: I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this. It was a fun stream but every time they mentioned how great America is or brought up any old-timey American propoganda proudly, I felt very weird. Not being an American, I am blown away that its citizens can, in good conscience, make a video series about how awesome America is, however lightly they tread.
I agree (I'm also not American). This is disappointingly short-sighted. I'm not only referring to very recent political events, either. There is no point in American history that deserves this kind of glamour or reverence.
I am from the U.S. and that was my reaction as well.
@godmil: you don't understand what friendly fire means nor that their names were right above their heads?
I feel like Vinny is the obvious weak link in this team, even if he is entertaining. His lack of directional awareness and poor accuracy is annoying.
Still, fun stream!
When he got so close to his allies it looked to me like the names above their head become a bit less vibrant and even knowing they're there it's hard for me to make them out against the background watching the video. I can't imagine being the one under fire and trying to pick it out, and I'm not even colorblind.
And the friendly fire message doesn't seem to pop up until after he downs them so it ain't much help in the moment either.
Still it's hilarious that Vinny shoots everyone except the one actual enemy standing right next to him. I'd like to have seen that guy's reaction to what was happening.
@mike: I know Jeff said something like that on twitter but it doesn't really make sense. 2/5 and 40% would mean the same thing if metacritic didn't exist at all.
The way I see it is two fifths is a fraction that equates to 0.4 or 40% of 1. But this isn't two fifths, it's two stars out of five, which is a rating scale that is arbitrary and thus mathematics don't apply to it, unless explicitly stated otherwise. So no, 2 stars out of five does not mean the same thing as 40 percent.
Cool, I look forward to listening to this podcast!
I've been watching Nikki's new show and also I watched her hour long special and just last week I watched Trainwreck for the first time and as a result of all this I've discovered the alarming new problem that ever since learning that she and Dan are friends I can't see Nikki Glaser pop up in anything without also immediately thinking of Dan Ryckert. This is unfortunate, as the less Dan Ryckert is on any person's mind the better off they probably are.
