I posted about this in bug reporting until I realized it was not a GB problem, but apparently something wrong on my end. I took the post down there and I'm not sure where to put it. I'm hoping someone on here has some ideas because I can't figure it out and I'm bummed I can't get anything to play.
I'll post an image so you can see what I'm seeing when I try to play a video. I'm using Chrome on Windows 10. I tried disabling extensions. Videos worked fine until yesterday after I rebooted to update Norton. I tried disabling Norton as well, no fix.
For a long time I've set videos to YouTube (rather than HTML5/Progressive) because for some reason 1080p60 videos played smoother like that. I can't recall if this option was not on premium videos before, but it's not now. If I set videos that allow it (Quick Looks) to YouTube, no problem. No problem on YouTube's site, either. If I set to HTML5 or Progressive, I get audio but no video. The scrub bar will "smear" the thumbnail image and the controls will also smear where they animate. If I scroll, smearing occurs. I'm sure there is a better word than smearing, but it's what I've got. You can see in the image I'll post.
Anyway, I'll keep working on it but I'm hoping someone here has an idea. Not sure if it's coincidence that it happened after updating Norton or not. I guess for now I'll just download videos to watch, but that's not a great solution.
*Just a question, was the YouTube option ever available on Premium videos? Because it's not now, for me.
*Okay... Gaiden the Ring has a YouTube option, other premium videos do not. I think that's a premium thing, right? Quick Looks will play if I select YouTube, but Gaiden will not. It does the same thing as if I had it set to HTML5/Progressive.
