I also cannot stop playing the Endless Mode of Holedown.

I also do not know why.

Guys, I think the endless mode of Holedown is secretly using our brains and phones to do bitcoin mining.

Still get it anyhow, though, it's really good.

For an alternate take, Tom Chick fucking loved it - granted, he's often a contrarian, but after about 6 hours of play I do think his take is largely accurate, which is that they haven't built Saints Row V here, they've built Crackdown: Diablo. Characters are slotted in and out like skills, weapons and Gremlin tech like items, and everything is always always driving towards grinding for more stuff, better upgrades, the ability to tackle harder enemies and difficulty levels.

Which, if you don't like the core gameplay loop, isn't going to be fun at all, but I'm having a good time with it so far. With the right set of expectations and a lower price point I expect it'll please a lot of people. And I actually really like some of the characters - though, sadly, none of the three they start you with.

Yeah, no idea where that came from - the Switch version is good, I spent a fair amount of the morning playing it.

While we're on that, the latest BotW patch also massively improved the docked framerate on that game. I hope that'll at least get a Bombcast mention or something.

Well here's the Digital Foundry article: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2017-snake-pass-on-switch-holds-up-nicely-against-ps4

So much for them not having nice things to say about the Switch version.
