Thank you for the advice, but alas, it did not seem to work.

Whenever I attempt to launch Skyrim, the little steam window that says "Preparing to launch Skyrim" or whatnot, keeps rapidly opening and then closing again and opening and closing ad nausea. This seems to not be how to launch the game, as I waited awhile. Any advice?
