As many have likely discovered matchmaking is horribly broken in Black Ops. Trying to take a party of any size into a game is a night mare of drops and split parties and disappearing lobbies.
 
Last night we discovered something, and it may only have been coincidence but it's worth testing. Four of us joined an XBox Live Party, not an in game party. Two of us made it into a game together, as space became available we sent invites to the others in our party. I expected that the four of us would be split between two teams sometimes, but the entire evening (15 or so matches) we were all on the same team.

If you look at my Gamer Score on XBox Live you can plainly see that I'm not an achievement whore. The achievement whore in my family is my son Travanoid.
 
Of course that begs the question of why I'm writing a blog entry solely to get a GiantBomb quest.
