Thank you for your comments here, too often I see irrational hate thrown at Dan. I think he was fine here, I actually think he was starting to really get into it, and hopefully this will be a gateway for more stuff like this!
As has been said previously, for people "new" to this sort of thing you REALLY need a good DM/GM, and Austin is amazing in that role.
If you think that they would keep him there if they at least didn't somewhat like Dan, then I have to politely disagree and say I think you are wrong sir.
To me Dan is partly responsible for some of best stuff GB have done in recent memory. Metal Gear Scanlon was excellent, and Mario Party was a glorious mess (that live episode still remains my favourite GB video ever.
I totally get that some people find him annoying, and I understand why. But to act like he hasn't had at least some positive stuff on the site seems a bit strange to me.
[edit] I'm gonna clarify something here also, I understand if people are tired of Dans "schtick". He obviously isn't for everyones taste.
Gotcha. And I can understand that point of view, only an idiot would think that Dan is going to appeal to everyone, and at times his antics can be grating (I had real issues with his play in his previous part).
@sevith: I think you are taking my comment out of context, at no point did I say that anyone who complains dislikes Dan. Nor did I saw most of the stuff that followed.
I completely understand the frustration of what Dan did in the previous video, it was almost as if he was deliberately trying to lose at the game. But this? He renamed a character, I really don't see the big deal.
I get that some people don't like Dan, I really do. His sense of humour isn't for everyone, but the level of vitriol in these comments really surprise me.
I for one like Dan, I think he is one of the best things to ever happen to the site, and gave it a breath of fresh air it sorely needed.
