I'm really, really mixed about what I've been hearing about AC from here and from Waypoint Radio. I loved the old Creed games, even the ones people hated, my favorite is honestly 3 (yes, I know) and I was also obsessed with the multiplayer. I just feel like the less the games feel like actual AC games, the more people actually like them. These RPG trappings, loot, numbers, I don't really want any of that in my AC. I'd probably really enjoy Origins and Odyssey but only if I made myself look at them as a not-AC game.
I played quite a bit of Operation Genesis back in the day and I do fondly remember things like tranqing dinosaurs from helicopters and just letting the dinosaurs loose and watching them eat everything. I don't know if I did that because I was bored of the actual game, or because dinosaurs eating everything. Either way as a recreation of that game, this looks. Bad? I've watched quite a bit of play from Youtubers and I've kind of assumed that it was still in early access. That it's being sold as a full-price game is appalling, especially when it's being sold as a management sim. It's way too shallow to hold the iinterest of anyone that likes management sims.
I guess I am impressed by nicely animated the various dinosaur attacks are, but it's kind of like they knew there was nothing to their game except to watch dinosaurs swallow people.
@craigclark: Factorio itself isn't exactly the originator in the genre, either. Makin' machines and makin' conveyor belts and makin' it all work together does not an exact copy of a game make, unless this game happens to lift the balance and tech trees and all that straight from Factorio, which we can't tell from this trailer alone.
@bachogrande: Probably already a known quantity to you if you love games like this, but just checkin if you've done Zachtronics' other things? Shenzhen probably had one of the steeper learning curves of the lot.

I know the game and I'm familiar with how Chris talks, but I get what people are saying about this video. Regardless though I goddamn love Spy Party and I'm so glad that it's getting a little more attention after quite understandably falling off the radar. The game still exists, guys! And it's still great!
