Lets be honest, if you don't bring Tali back then every scene with the 'not Tali stand-in' is just going to be you thinking "man I bet this is way cooler with Tali in it..."

So why even do that to yourself.

They kept mentioning the devs name as Chris the whole time and I'm like Chris who? what's his last name?! Rhinehart??

I been a fan since Heretic. I mean I just googled it and found out it is indeed him. Super glad to see he's working on something new

Also, they may have made Quiet Man but they also made the original Rune, so really who else would make the sequel?

Dude, I could watch this for hours.

I'm with everyone else, THIS IS THE RUN please! I'll buy another subscription just for that feature... (who am I kidding, GB has pretty much replaced television for me so I'm pretty much already hooked for life anyway)

Also, there was a squad mode and duo mode. How big is the the squads in the squad mode? And if you team up do you all skydive in tandem? Or do you have to like, coordinate and find each other? Cause if you have to try and locate each other that sounds kind of impossible...

God, a squad mode with the whole GB crew playing would be incredible.

I'm actually really enjoying the game, but a part of me wonders what this studios previous game would have been (back when they were known as Black Tusk, before being rebranded as The Coalition) had it not been scrapped and then basically turned into the Gears of War factory.

Clearly they are a very talented and capable 1st party studio, and I wonder if letting them take a crack at their own IP would have been been a bigger win in the long run. As for now, it's safe to assume they're locked into gears sequels for the long haul.

@bribbins:

Yup. There was a botched update that went live on like the day after release. So people were able to play the night before, and then suddenly unable to play (the game would not allow you to play it until it updated)

I had it preloaded but didn't get a chance to play it until a couple days later and was stuck at the update. I guess what was happening was instead of just downloading the update, the windows store was just re-downloading the entire updated game or something, cause it would tell you the patch was a few hundred megs and then ask you to free up another 80gigs of space... after which, the previous version of the game would delete itself.

I was glued to a reddit thread where a bunch of people were trying to figure out what was going on and why suddenly everyone couldn't play. A lot of people (including myself) were installing on ssds and just didn't have the space left to download another 80 gigs.

There was a guy from the coalition posting and trying to offer suggestions to people while they tried to figure out what was wrong. He said he was on the horn with micrsoft store people trying to get it resolved. I don't know if that ever happened though cause since I didnt have double the games hd space to "patch" I just deleted it and re-downloaded the whole 80 gigs, hoping that the new download would be the updated version of the game and it was. So if you're still in this boat, that's what worked for me.

Course, the whole time there was an angry mob shouting for the burning of the windows store and why don't you just release it on steam (a store that actually works etc etc)

But I get it. It's early days for the windows10 store and there's bound to be issues until they get it working like a well oiled machine. It isn't like steam functioned as well as it does today when it first launched.

This kind of excites me only because it must mean they are pretty confident in their lineup of games. At least confident enough to sustain their own event anyways. Bethesda had a pretty good show last year. Makes me wonder if this'll put more pressure on publishers to invest on interesting big budget ip if they have their own stage to try and wow people every year (though Bethesda admitted they'd not likely have an event every year, only when they had enough to show)

You know, this looks kinda terrible, but this is exactly the kind of game I'd pick up for like 5 dollars on the used/bargain shelf on the way home from work if I were bored enough. Also I am frequently bored enough.

It kind of reminds me of that Dead to Rights:Retribution game on 360, which I picked up in exactly those circumstances and quite liked.

This looks kind of worse than that though.
