I just created a second Company called Giant Beast (even though I'm a pacific northwest type myself). Who wants in?

Is anyone else finding that almost every single H2 game ends up being voted as BR's? If I wanted to play team battle rifles all the time I wouldn't be playing Halo 2.... maybe I'm just nostalgic for the original H2 days a decade ago.

Any favourite H2 mp moments?

Hey guys,

Only had a chance to watch the last two matches of TI4, and relative blowouts aren't the best to watch. What are the best one or two matches to go back and take a look at?

Hm. Seems like what most people mean by "fitness" is looking like that one actor. This type of shit sounds miserable to me, and I'm not sure I see the point other than feeling good when you can post topless bathroom selfies on Facebook. To each their own though, I'm more of the be active/healthy but don't let it own you type of person.

I think for some it's the challenge, others it's the confidence boost or the ego stroke. There's also the media pressure for the 'ideal figure' - it's just as prevalently aimed at men as women.

At the end of the day, if it gives you something to strive for and a reason to be better (and presumably healthier) tomorrow than you are today, I'm all for it, regardless of anyone's reasoning.

Edit: @falserelic While we're all flinging info at you, if you're going to track your workouts (and you should) check out Fitocracy. Add me if you sign up, same username without the underscore.

Stop with this body building shenanigans, find a powerlifting or Olympic lifting gym (Olympic is more fun, but I powerlift because it fits my skill set better), and get strong. Iron sharpens iron my friend, you can be shiny copper, looks pretty, but worth little, or you can be steel, strong, sturdy and admired by all. The thing with these basic hypertrophy programs with no progression is that A) they get boring, and B) they cause you to plateau.

But as it goes, most people care more about the looking huge, than being huge, so I will stop my preaching. I do give you my most sincere admiration, for at least you are taking steps towards physical fitness, and that is more than most can say. I wish you best of luck, and I hope the Gods of gains grant you the gift of swole, but just remember, you could be so much more.

I will say, a step you should take that is just short of joining a power/olympic lifting gym, is finding one, and booking a few one on one training sessions. You do not need to train at this gym, but it really helps to have a true strength and conditioning coach teach you proper form, as most PT's are garbage. My gym does these quite often, people will come in, the coaches take them through the exercises, show them how to properly perform them, critic their performance, and then give them corrective exercises to target their weak points in a lift. This processes is extremely helpful, and for a bit of money you can help prevent injury in the future.

I'll second this, at least as a base. There's nothing wrong with wanting to look good - who doesn't? - but when you're starting out it's better to build base strength first before worrying about anything else. I started my lifting strength style and I'm glad I did. I still devote half my week to getting stronger.

Lifting (to get fit, look swole, be stronger, whatever) isn't a short battle, it's a lifelong war, and progress (after the initial stages) comes in months and years, not days and weeks. Personally, given that we're already in May, I'd suggest that you actually eat at a surplus and get super strong so you can cut in time for next summer, but hey, whatever works for ya :) (and trust me, bulking is waaaaaaaay more fun). Either way, finding a strength coach is a really good idea, cuz dem dere PT's don't generally know jack about compound barbell movements (so, the important ones) and I'd love to say you should just ask a guy at the gym for help, but he probably doesn't know either (even if he thinks he does).

Either way, good luck! May Brodin watch over you always.
