Weird year.

List items

  • Halo 1 - 3 + ODST on Co - op Legendary with Iron Skull on. One of the best gaming experiences I've ever had.

Lead to reading Fall of Reach, and I wish I hadn't. May be fine for fan fiction, but still utterly poor in the grand scheme of things.

  • Assassin's Creed Best of tour. Near perfection.

  • Additional DLC - Back in hard hunting for Boss Cells

  • An incredible game that I have no interest in playing again.

  • Tops the first one and then some. 3d collectathon mixed with Uncharted action.

  • Biggest surprise of the year. Played at release and bounced off quickly, but with a co-op mate in doubles and just enough players to find a match, it has the same unidentifiable quality as Rocket League.

  • When it originally came out I remember it being a blurry mess. The X enhanced version still carries over some of the OG engine issue, but unearthed what I felt to be a a gem of a game. Loved the first and second, and I'm glad I went back to finish the trilogy after all these years.

  • It's fine. Can't muster up more than that, unfortunately.

  • Maybe the straw that broke the camels back. It's good, real good, but I couldn't be less interested in battle royal anymore. From janky PUBG, to CoD's polish there was a very clear progressive arc. Now what was once exciting has become stale, and no matter how good Apex is, it just don't do it for me anymore.

  • A mobile game structure with no microtransations. You realise very quickly that it is as deep as a puddle, but very good as a chat room.

  • Just didn't click, same way many of these style of games don't. I didn't find it overly difficult, just did not engage with the world.

  • Just didn't hook me at all, which is a massive shame. Devoured Rise of, but couldnt bring myself to finish this.

    Felt rushed.

  • Remastered

  • I really don't understand how this game has had universal appeal.

Awful characters, stupid enemies, boring worlds.

  • My game of the year, forever and always. Hundreds of hours put in, and I only ever want to play more.
