The Wire can be surprisingly effective on Dr Cossack's Mean Claw Machine as he has a giant hit box and tends to hang out above you. Obviously you can't move while firing it, so give him a salvo or two of it while he's attempting to grab you and you're off to his side. Mega Buster does the most damage, but can be tricky if you're not used to it. Personally, when I'm playing 4-5-6 my thumb lives on the B button, always be charging etc., but it's not comfortable, and gets less so the older and more arthritic my hands get.
Hello, I would just like to say that Koudelka is a really underrated JRPG for the PS1. It has a really cool horror atmosphere, and like Jeff said is a prequel to Shadow Hearts. Definitely check it out if you have an interest in JRPGs from this era, or are looking for a JRPG that has a cool, different atmosphere.

Fucking A. Koudelka is awesome, the whole Shadow Hearts series is amazing, they would be my number 1 ask for PS2 on PS4 games to port over. Brilliant games that are kind of impossible to play right now.
