Black Library, my favorite publisher, totally trolled me. . . .

BL has this service to print books on demand of their fiction. Starting to be a major 40k fan, I took this opportunity to buy some fiction I wouldn't find in stores. This book in question costed me about 42 bucks including shipping and took about 3 weeks to arrive. When the book arrived in the mail, I was very excited to read it.

To see that they printed and shipped me a different book with the cover of the book I wanted. . . . .

Wow...that's pretty funny.

Though I've discovered that Games Workshop in particular have amazing customer service, both on the phone and in store. So if they share the same service department, you should be getting that stuff sorted out pretty quickly.

As someone who owns over a hundred Black Library published books, I am very very sorry that this happened to you. I would have cried. If you need a hug please tell me.

You should keep that. Rare misprints of rare run books in mint condition can earn you money as investments if those books become popular or are part of a collection.

A print-on-demand book? I doubt it...

Haha, well that does suck but is also very interesting. I just began reading the Horus Heresy series and it's pretty fucking good so far.

I'd keep that item also, could be worth some money, or not.

@Aronman789: Only certain books though. Usually in the form of a collection. Right now they only have about 20 or so books available.

Wait, they print things on demand? Well fuck, I gotta go get me a damn copy of Liber Chaotica then.

EDIT: Fuck they don't offer it for that one.

Yeah, I agree. It's like one of those one-of-a-kind rare finds. I'm sure someone would pay top dollar for mistakes like that.

Huh, I'll keep that in mind then. The book that is in my book is actually a series of books about 160 pages each that have been out of print for about 6 years.

I have the original Space Marine novel by Ian Watson my shelf and I remember the original copies of that going for 120$ on amazon before the Print on Demand came out.

Yeah, also no bar code on the back. Which makes the Iron cross look more badass.

They'll probably tell you they're sorry and they'll let you keep that book and send you the book you wanted.

Send it with express shipping with a slipcover for Necromunda Omnibus 1.

That's how I'd handle it.
