I've actually been keeping track of this for a number of years, typing out all the games I play each year into notepad files. Looks like I usually play more new games than old games. This year is an exception, though.

2016: 10 old, 25 new

2017: 20 old, 26 new

2018: 11 old, 23 new

2019: 19 old, 24 new

2020 (so far): 14 old, 8 new

Final Fantasy X-2. I tried to replay it at one point, but the music was like nails on a chalkboard. I just absolutely could not put up with it for more than a couple hours. I have no idea how I was able to get through that game the first time.

I built my computer around 4 years ago and the only part I've upgraded is the video card (first to a 970, then later to a 1080ti). Games still run on it at very high settings, but there's definitely some chugginess here and there that can probably be attributed to slow and/or insufficient RAM or something.

I should really get around to replacing all the other parts sometime this year. I really don't like the act of actually putting the whole thing together though, which I guess is part of why I haven't done it yet.

I just want to finally, at some point, get around to playing through Xenoblade Chronicles X. I've had it since it came out and only played it for an hour. One of these days.

Also, I need to stop playing so much Monster Strike. Had to start over on the Japanese version when the English version shut down and It's been eating up so much of my time since then. Gotta get it in my head that I don't need to max luck everything in existence...

Yakuza Zero was the big one for me this year. I was gonna play it... but then Nioh came out. And then Horizon. Then Zelda. Then Nier. Then Persona 5.

I only got around to starting Yakuza about a week ago, after I finally finished the last of those other games.

Did really good today, especially after the shitshow that was yesterday (In which I played terribly and died in the mines with like $2000).

Crash and burrrrrrrrrrrn! After my personal record-breaking run yesterday, I get crushed in this challenge by a grey block while mattocking in 3-1. Seems to be my number one cause of death (or near-death) lately. Gotta pay more attention when using the mattock!

I died on 4-3 in a situation that really was not very difficult to deal with. I was just really fixated on killing the shopkeeper with my Plasma Cannon instead of bombs... despite the fact that I didn't really have any reason to hoard bombs at that point, and killing him with the bombs would have been super easy. I even had a lot of HP too, but it didn't matter because he bounced me around like a volleyball and shot me a couple times. Even if I didn't die I wouldn't have broken 900k, so I didn't really mind getting killed here. It still raised my average!
