Your brain a splode (Blog Post)

So i saw that "Arguments for the existence of God" thread again in OT and it reminded me of the idea that's been rolling around in my head for a while.

People say that God started the Big Bang, the explosion of a tiny piece of something that has been expanding faster and faster ever since that moment. Before that there was an infinite amount of nothing. What if somewhere in all that nothing, there was another something that exploded and has been expanding faster and faster ever since, but it never reaches our something because there is an infinite amount of nothing separating the two. And what if there's actually an infinite amount of those somethings and this has been happening forever. Sure makes our something seem like nothing.

I know that doesn't quite prove or disprove anything, but it's fun to think about. Isn't it amazing that the human brain is capable of visualizing something of such ridiculous size... reminds me of that Emily Dickinson poem:

The Brain is Wider than the sky
For put them side by side
The one the other will include,
With ease, and you beside

My buddy's birthday present:

Here's what he sent me

The gossamer quality is what makes the moth fly, little specks.
I would have gotten you three pairs of parallel spheres but I was short a phenomenon.
Listen, things are not as simple as they seem simple, and things are not as complex as they seem complex. Derangement is a gentle art, so don't blame it if you get a scab, maybe a couple of scabs. Scabs go away, don't touch them.
Hello Brain, happy birthday. Just checking in to see if you're still pulling the earth up towards you by the hairs. If you are, Some moose you are. If you aren't, no one cares.
I want to ask you a question.
How do I express the concept: "A balance between imbalance and balance" with maximum visual efficiency? (no text, simple lines, immediately apparent). I know the yin yang comes to mind but it just seems so goddamned simple. It doesn't quite capture the complexity of a universe that is constantly overcompensating for it's imbalance, resulting in further imbalance of the opposite kind (what the hell does opposite kind even mean?).
I'm just looking for something beyond "IS" and "IS NOT".
Be nice.
April 14th is only a few gigabytes away.
Keep your flux up. Keep your flux zero. For everything that goes in, something must come out. That way, you've got plenty of vomit to feast upon during the lean years.
I almost forgot!
The key to success: L, L, R, start, A, select
Alternatively, talk to an old man in a red shirt in the Exxon on the post road during a prime-numbered month. He will mention marital troubles, but soon digress into fishing. As soon as he completes the sentence, "Danny dumped the beers out on the deck and we stuck him in the cooler", tap the guy on the left cheek with your right hand. Leave immediately.
The next morning, Alex Trebek and four million dollars will be stuffed into the second garbage can to the left.

thought it was ridiculous enough to be worth sharing

The end of Dead Space

Kind of a bummer; reminded me of the end of Condemned ( Shaky camera, scary image, loud noise). I think there's the very real possibility that Isaac seeing the dead body of Nicole at the end of the game could have simply been more illusions now that he'd figured out Nicole was actually dead. No other Necromorphs so clearly displayed the characteristics of their hosts. You could tell it was Nicole's body once you saw it. Also the possibility of the Hive Mind surviving would be more probable since there's an announced sequel. The Hive Mind controlled all the Necromorphs telepathically so connect 1 and 1 and there's your explanation for the ending. Or she could've been real the whole time, then turns into a necromorph right at the end, only to follow Isaac onto the ship and kill him. I'd rather think Isaac lives though. That guy deserves to live.
