I disagreed with Brad on his thought of FF13 in the podcast but 1 he hasnt gotten through much of the game and 2 I fear some of my fanboyism shines around the Final Fantasy series but once again everyone has their own opinions :)

" Well, if I played XIII I'd know whether it was racist or not.  Anyways, my stance on Barrett and racism would be backed with the dialog choices Square went with for his character.  Ebonics, so they say, were enough to make me think whether Square was a little too stereotypical in portraying black people as they barely do in any of their games.  A poor use of words, in short, as my mistake. "
If you ever lived or experienced Japan you wouldn't be surprised at all. It's less racist and more cluelessness. Everyone tends to have a stereotype just like in every other country they are just much more clueless due to the lack of any other culture besides their own.

You can use 'and' at the beginning of a sentence but it's not 'proper', it's informal.
