A new mode that is a mock version of MultiPlayer with AI Enemy Bots that TreyArch has introduced to their latest Call of Duty game Black Ops
 
Access from MultiPlayer 
 
You can earn experience point that goes toward your Level & Rank as well as Cod Points or credits i.e. money as part of the new economy progression system when unlocking varies items weapons attachments etc. 
 
All of which is a standalone component separate from the  actual online MultiPlayer in other words it's not universal
 
You can face off in 2 game modes Free For All FFA & Team Death Match TDM with up to 4 difficulties
 
I'm pleasantly surprised with this mode sporting the following setup 
TDM 4 Vs. 8 on Regular 
 
The kills are not handed to you the Bots are pretty deadly might I say better then most players themselves going for solid fire bursts at your head providing for a great overall challenge
 
You can also invite friends on you list to play with which I guess acts as a unofficial co-op mode as well 
one other thing you may notice is if you have a lot of friends the Bots names will be of them so don't get surprised or scared ^__^ 
 
So what do you guys think about this new mode to the series?
 
For me I F'ing loving it! 
if I had to give it a score on it's own I give it a 5 out 5 star rating!

Haven't touched it yet but I like the look of it, and the way your friend's GT's get inserted into it is a nice touch. I personally cannot understand why it isn't available offline, and a couple more game modes would be nice, bots usually work reasonably well in CTF, but other than that stuff it seems like a great addition and a decent emulation of the real online experience.

Was kind of surreal first time playing it because it pulls in your friends GTs. I'm probably now going to slightly adapt my paythroughs. Normally it's Single Player (Regular) > Single Player (Veteran) > Multiplayer. I'll probably play a bit more combat training before actually going online to try and hone my skills.

The bots are indeed deadly.... yet sadly it is a deadly accuracy and not a deadly AI.... unless they were all programmed to be campers.

This is my favorite part of black ops, honestly.  I can play what feels like online multiplayer with my friends without putting up with bullshit if bullshit does starts to happen online.  Great to hear you can invite friends to play with you over the internet so I can play with my friend once he goes off to college.  So far I've only played it splitscreen with a few friends (which was the most fun any of us have had with a game in a while).  Level 36 so far!

It's kinda fun. Might use it to try out some guns sometime. I really really like that they populate both teams with names from your friend's list. It's kinda cool seeing people from my school on the same team as some Giant Bombers. Drew was on the other team once.

I tryed play hardened bots and i got whiped the floor with. Reminds me of perfect dark simulants.

it sounds alright, i don't think will use use it. it' sounds like fun to do man. good that they added that to this game.

It's the only mode I play in Black Ops. I am probably the biggest bots fan in the world. I might never play online against players ever again.

Never really been a fan of Bots. I'll probably play enough to get the acheivement, and move on.

I like the sound of this. I had a lot of fun with MW2 for about 2 months until I just couldn't keep up with the players who played for hours a day everyday and I was getting rolled over every match and it wasn't fun anymore. This seems like something I might have more fun with because the skill level is a little more constant. 
 
I should rent the game and see if the bots could fill the void. I miss playing COD multiplayer but I don't have much fun in "real" multiplayer after a while because I'm not good enough and don't have the time to be good enough.

Personally, I think this is a perfect addition to the game.
While it's not an online game mode, it has the feel of online because of the bots running round freely. Being offline, you can set the game up to what level you feel comfortable with (veteran if you like spawning) and you don't get the abuse off punks who have knifed you in the back twice and gloat about it. 
 
It's the perfect medium, A game that looks and feels like it's online, but isn't, but you can have friends playing with you too! What more could you ask for? 
Well just a  little easier AI, I feel that the levels are not regular, hardened or veteran they are "a chance", "slight chance" and "no chance!" And couple more game modes than those two, but that can all be brought out in good time.

Its pretty cool. I suck at the real thing, and this emulates the pace pretty well. Kinda nice when you're not getting steamed rolled by someone over and over. Its a good release after getting taken to school online.

I like they added it, One you gain CoD points and XP faster in the mode then regular online allowing you to test out different weapons and loadouts before you really spend the points online. Lately its easier to talk some friends who avoid cod games because they feel they suck in the multiplayer side. Novice players can go in there and feel cool beating down some low level bots.  I do wish they added more mode though, the wager modes, like one bullet and the gun thing would be fun to play with to figure out the order if anything.
