NOT true. I'm 12 myself, and RPG's are my favorite genre. Mass Effect 2, Final Fantasy 7 and Oblivion are possibly my favorite games of all time.

Then again, not all RPG's have fantastic  storylines. Take Gearbox's Borderlands for example. The ending alone ruined the game for me. "Congratulations, you killed a giant ass tentacle monster, take your reward of $500, now gtfo." 
 
But, the game itself was pretty fun.  And BTW, Neverwinter Nights kicks ass. I played it when it first came out... I was maybe 6. I had a good life as a small child.
