I Am A: Lawful Good Human Sorcerer (4th Level)

Ability Scores:
Strength-14
Dexterity-16
Constitution-16
Intelligence-14
Wisdom-13
Charisma-14

Alignment:
Lawful Good A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. He combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. He tells the truth, keeps his word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. Lawful good is the best alignment you can be because it combines honor and compassion. However, lawful good can be a dangerous alignment because it restricts freedom and criminalizes self-interest.

Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Class:
Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast.

New Piano, on the way!!!

I have been working (yay) for several months now and decided I need something special.  I'm no longer living with my parents and don't have immediate access to a piano anymore so I purchased a digital one, mainly so my land lord/roommates don't kill me with the noise.  I purchased a Casio PX-130 from amazon and it is about to be delivered later today.  I am very exited.  I have a nice space picked out for it, hopefully the keyboard will fit and my life will be complete.

Looking for work blows.

So I have been working at Entenmann's for the last year or so part time and I'm about to graduate in the spring (currently taking no classes, only need one to graduate).  My boss came to me a month ago and told me that my job was going to be downsized, that I would be let go.  I didn't think it a big deal at the time because I have more than enough saved and am well on my way to graduate with my Bachelors in Biochemistry.  No biggie right?
I'm just started my last week today and have been looking for jobs for the last 3 weeks and I didn't even get a bite.  I usually average about 3-4 jobs on a week day and 8-9 on a weekend and NOTHING.  I spend a good deal of time writing each application, each cover letter, my resume is pitch perfect, and it's not like I'm looking for jobs that I'm not qualified for; it just seems nobody wants/needs me.
I got one call back a week and a half ago to what was IMO a dream job.  It was for a lab technician position at the  Anesthesiology Department (60K/year) in a local hospital and I' be doing research with an MD PhD, thats a big deal.  They called me scheduled an interview, I nearly jizzed my pants, then called me back an hour later and told me that the original employee was coming back so I wasn't needed.
I'm not giving up on finding work but is it just me or is anyone else out there having a rough time finding something?  I feel like getting my bachelors would help alot towards getting a f/t job it shouldn't be this slow right?

So My PS3 Died Today

I was watching some netflix on it and it just powered down and wouldnt turn back on.  I whiped the hard drive and formated it put it back in and still nothing.  So I decided to call up Sony and see what they can do.  They offered me a replacement plan where for ~150 I'd get a new refurbished slim PS3.  I could of had it sent in and physically repaired for ~180 but decided against it.
My launch 60GB PS3 had been a huge dust magnet in my entertainment system and I never used the full backwards compatability or the SD card slots n stuff.  I figure the new slim ps3 will consume less power and probably be a lil more quiet.  We shall see in like 3 weeks when I get it.
It's a dam shame too, I was planning on watching a whole bunch of old Blurays that I had around the house, Aleins, Monsters Inc, Casino Royale, and most likely terminator 2 for the 1000th time.  I had also purchased about 6 other bluerays for delivery on wednesday, guess they will have to wait a bit.
November 2006- September 2010
RIP PS3 Oscar :(

My personal Star Trek vision quest update

SO, since last E3 I believe I have been on some sort of Star Trek quest that honestly seems to have no end.
TOS: Completed
TNG: Completed
DS9: Season 4 Complete
Voyager: Incomplete
Enterprise: Incomplete
Movies: Completed

I was about to give up because I found DS9 to be rather unbearable until the start of season 4, things started to pick up with the start of the Dominion threat but it wasn't until the very end of Season 4 with the cliff hanger that I decided to continue on.  So I don't know how far I'm going to get, most of my friends who are into star trek find DS9 to be the worse in the series while others say Enterprise.  I'm gonna keep chugging along and see how far I can get.  I am happy to say that TOS and TNG were fantastic as far as Sci-fi drama is concerned and I'm looking forward to (hopefully) seeing it through.

God dam you steam!!

So I'm not that big of a gamer during the semester.  I don't get games that often either but over the last 6 months or so I have just succumb to steam and their freaking insane sales.  First it was over the winter when I purchased nearly every freaking thing on sale during the holiday sales last winter.  Then I purchased Freedom Force pack, Braid, Audiosurf,  Red Fraction Guerrilla, portal, ALL THE X COM GAMES,  Trials 2, Torchlight, Trine,  Medieval 2 and its expansions, Mass Effect, L4D, Beat Hazard..... and today I just purchased the freaking Civilization 4 pack.
I just keep purchasing them........WTF Steam seems to have some strange power over me,  these sales are so f'ing crazy that I cant not buy these things.  Yet I'm  fairly certain I won't play many of them EVER.  I'm just building a stupid ass collection of great games lol
Anyone else out there get caught up in steam fever?

Violent Video Games?

I'm sitting here watching Campbell Brown on tv, she was talking about violent video games and I'm trying to see what the problem is?  Violent video games are today what rock and roll was in the 50s and 60s.  It's just older people not understanding the current youth and rushing to a conclusion.  My father for the longest time thought sites like facebook and twitter were known sources for meeting pedophiles and perverts.  Now he uses it more than I do.   Hopefully in like 5-10 years all of this will be behind us.

Writing Papers last min is bad idea.

I'm taking a womens history class this semester and I am an expert procrastinator.   So I was surprised to find myself last night having a paper due at 4pm today and I decided to do the responsible thing and go to sleep.  I just woke up now and STILL don't want to do the paper.  What is wrong with me?  anyway.  I got no classes left today so I'm just gonna have to sit down and get to it.
God dam I hate this class.

behold, the internet

I usually don't try most things on the internet.  I have a number of friends of frequent sites like 4chan and neogaff where people just seem to act like assholes.  While I have gone to them before I generally don't enjoy myself.  Over the last few weeks I have gone on chatroulette maybe like 3 or 4 times and I find it oddly addictive.  Aside from the guys jerking off at 7am there sometimes seems to be really funny creative moments where people express themselves.  Its interesting to see what will be come of the site in about two years when (presumably) less people will frequent it, although that may not entirely be the case.
Yet something like chatroulette really shows to me how versatile the internet has become, some random guy coming up with an idea and it catching like wildfire.  It makes me both excited and nervous about what could be next.  In the meanwhile I will cut myself off from chatroulette because I can't see it helping me in any beneficial way unless it is in seeing men jerk off.

Star Trek TNG

I'm slowly working my way through watching each episode of Star Trek TNG and I'm finding that the show has gotten substantially better the more I see.  I am about half way through season 6, almost done.  I'm finding that the first two seasons really lacked any personality, it seemed more like episodes that were empty.  I just got finished watching an episode where Picard gets hit in the chest with something and relives some aspects of his life with Q.
As a child I found it very strange that people would watch Star Trek, the show seemed too unrealistic, I preferred Star Wars.  I now find myself thinking the opposite, Star Wars kinda sucks now and Star Trek does approach the idea of interstellar travel and inter planetary politics in a fair manner.  Having taken on this change I think I will give battle star Galactica a try and see if I feel the same.
