Great theft mechanics

Stealing is a crime. Stealing things that don't exist, on the other hand, is just good times.

List items

  • In addition to uncommon consumables several enemies in the game are carrying weapons you otherwise wouldn't see for another 5+ hours.

  • What would you expect from a game starring a thief? Not only can many unique items be stolen from enemies, but the main character's limit break grows more powerful for every enemy that is stolen from.

  • Probably the best theft mechanic in any game. Not only can you steal an enemy's item, but you can steal their weapon, their armor, their accessory, their health, and their turn!

  • Granted it's more of a mugging simulator than theft, but you can still shake down every guard in the game for their dog tags.

  • While not that great a game, Stolen does win brownie points for letting you pickpocket a unique item from every guard in the game.

  • With the right set of clothes, and a handful of Golden Saint souls, you can get a 100% Chameleon outfit and steal everything in the world without anyone noticing.

  • Not only can you steal items, and not only is your main source of magic to steal it from monsters, but you can turn those monsters into playing cards as well!

  • The list of useful things you can steal in DA:O is sadly small. On the other hand stealing is an excellent source of income; and nearly a necessary one given how money in DA:O is finite.
