Now our typing game also has bosses!

Remember our game about typing at a bunch of annoying kids? No? Well, you're joining us at a great time, seeing as the game just updated earlier this morning. Version 1.2 brings about a bunch of adjustments and a whole mess of tuning, most of which isn't immediately obvious. What will be immediately obvious, though, is what happens when you complete a campaign level. I don't want to spoil the whole thing, so I'll just leave you with this.

Yes, in case it wasn't already bleedingly obvious, The Typing of the Dead was a huge inspiration on both the concept and the gameplay.

In case you're too lazy to check out the other post, the game's at http://typehard.haxor.fi

And there's a trailer too, made by fellow Giant Bomb user Firehawk!

The results are in! The Assembly 2011 gamedev compo is over, and we placed 3rd out of 16 entries! Very happy about this!

Find it real fucking funny you posted this in the indie forum.

Still though, good luck with whatever it is you're doing.

Where else? It's an indie game made by four students.

@soralapio: Hey soralapio!  I'll give your new version a try soon - have you added a WPM score to the game?  I figure since it's a typing game, would be nice to have that on there as well heh.  The last version I tried had some issues with feedback (also wish I could backspace out errors instead of just typing in correct letters), so this one will be fun to try out.

That's not a bad idea, and it's also not hard at all to do so look for that in v1.3! :) Also, re: typing. It was originally set up like you describe, but it turned out pretty much everyone hated it and wanted per key feedback so we changed it.

Going to give this a shot, just because I'll never turn down a chance to fight the devil.

Just tried out the latest version - i like the new feedback you get while typing.  Boss mode was kinda funny.

@soralapio: Dude you should really try and get this thing in middle schools and high schools.

There are tons of computer classes that use a typing game, if you get this to a district then you have a bunch of teens who know your company.
