@jay_ray: Is more trying to point out that racial issues can be viewed diferent in a country made by white people that faced discrimination from other white people that also pushed their believes in there in all its history.
No, it would not hurt having black characters, but trying to lecture polish about discrimination in general is not the point we should reach.
@scotto: Yennnefer is a character from the books (and the book-canon love interest of Geralt) Also, a lot more going with her, specially if you know how Geralt got back to life
@odinsmana: I think so too. The game is actually a pretty heavy commentary against discrimination in general to reduce the discussion about skin color. Just today, I witcher contract in the skillige islands ended with Geralt in prision for defending himself against two xenophobic locals (that killed a man that was friendly with Geralt and defended him). No one in that village testify in favor of Geralt (even when he helped them in killing a monster in their lighthouse
@cabrit_sans_cor: Most people in my country are mixed race and would look you the same way as you try to explain why blackface is unacceptable, so dunno If i would say is just white people problem. Also, Roger Ebert did knew that some criricism could be unfair to a point, at least in film.
Sadly, I would disagree about cultural criticism not being influenced by US mentality influence. My teacher from college have some nightmare stories about some cultural academics from the US (not everyone, of course, but the push is feeled)
