I got my vita about two months ago, and have loved it. It's perfect for brief pick up and play titles. Had a really good time with Guacamelee, and it's a great Divekick machine. Just bought Dragon's Crown yesterday (first major title I've purchased, everything else has been PS+ or small digital titles), and I'm really enjoying it. The lengths of each dungeon are perfect for doing a couple at a time without having to get too committed to playing a game.
So I ended up replacing it and getting a new one. Seems to be working great (downloaded the Killzone demo overnight without issue). Probably going to stick with a 4gb card for the time being (hopefully a deal will show up at some point on cards), and I'm thinking I'll double dip on Divekick tonight.
Any recommendations for cheap games that I may not know about on PSN? PSP games and the like?
@rorie Didn't get much of a chance to play with it last night, but I'm fairly certain I'll enjoy it. The low price of many games, and the indie focus the Vita is getting appeals to me, as those are the kinds of games I want in a handheld. I also just want to see what the PS4 remote play is like, out of curiosity.
This is my first Sony console, and I did not have PS+ before. I ended up getting the $200 bundle that came with the Vita, 4gb card and a year of plus. I figure I would have bought a year of plus anyway for PS4 (pre-ordered one), so $150 for the Vita as an experiment isn't too bad. I don't think I would have paid $200 flat out for one, without this deal.
edit: and regarding needing a Vita right now: I absolutely, positively do not :P
Hey, I ended up getting a new Vita, and I have a couple of issues with it that I want to make sure are normal (and that my device isn't defective).
1. My vita occasionally drops connection from my Wi-Fi. All my other devices continue to work properly, and the Vita itself shows the connection in the top corner, but I am unable to upload/download anything. Disabling Wi-Fi and re-enabling seems to fix it (and it did not happen last night while downloading Uncharted, so that's good).
2. Downloads sometimes pause when the Vita screen turns off. This seems to happen regardless of whether I let the vita sleep on its own (without hitting the power button), or when I hit it. This doesn't always happen either, and I can't seem to nail down a combination of actions that cause it consistently.
Are these issues common to all Vitas, or is it worth bringing mine back in for a replacement?
