I was 12ish when OoT came out and i had multiple schoolyard chats with friends about every layer of that game. I had a bunch of places where i was stuck but then so did everyone else. I honestly just remember asking friends for help and if they didn't know the answer it seemed like at some point we got together and brute forced the answer as a group at a birthday party sleepover or something.
That was a pretty common experience with many games for me until i was in high school. By then, the PS2/XBOX/GC gen was in full swing and the more obscure elements of game design were mostly left behind
@turul: im going too (but just by myself) and im planning on doing at least some vlog/podcast kinda stuff. no idea if ill ever do it again. i plan on doing most of it while im stuck in line
Sony has (timed) content exclusivity once again. The vast majority of players were on PS4. I suspect it will be big on both PS4 and PC, but PS4 is the safest bet since it has the largest existing fanbase and streamers. I do think it being on the Blizzard app will probably help popularize it on PC though.
I will play it on PS4 exclusively unless cross-save is announced. Then I will play mostly on PC. I am both a PvE and PvP player so while I would prefer uncapped framerate, higher resolution and possibly better performance, there is 0 chance of me playing it on PC because I do not want to play with a mouse and keyboard which will be mandatory for PvP. Also, most of my clan will get it on PS4.
My plan would be to just play with a controller for PvE and then move to KB/M for PvP (but i don't really do much PvP anyways). I'm lucky because i have a setup that can switch from my TV to my desktop, so playing on my couch through my PC is easy. The exclusive content is probably the biggest element that tempts me to PS4 tho. God..cross save would be amazing.
I'm so torn on PC vs PS4 now. Seems like playstation will still have exclusive content locked for a time which is a case for console. PC will look great and feel great but i just worry about the community drying up. Destiny feels like a Titanfall case where the console community will go on much longer.
In all seriousness, GB isn't that bad if you are signed in (accessing the site while signed out is a whole other mess). Ghostery only gives me 7 trackers when I'm logged in (being premium might also lower that number but not sure), but I think it's entirely dependent on where you're connecting from (because I don't see quite a lot of the things you do, but there is a Russian site analytics tracker used) and on what page you are on (the above list looks like you just looked at the main landing page rather than something deeper in the site?).
If you want a real nightmare, go and look at how many ad trackers and metrics analytics things there are on sites notorious for clickbait articles.
I'm so sick of clickbait. A friend of mine went to this site and what happened next is jaw dropping...
