I agree with Vinny, I don't think I like the Campo Santo DMCA takedown. Especially since they filed the takedown after Pewdiepie already made the videos private. Pdp even mentioned other devs had contacted him privately about taking down videos and he did. Yes Alex, he was the 1 in 100 that respected the copyright holder's requests.
How can they still not understand how trespassing works? It literally says "Trespassing" on screen when the player trespasses. I feel like it's such a crucial part of this game, yet they are totally oblivious to it.
However, visibility is ultimately of middling worth when marginalized people are not included in the formation of their icons. It allows for the creation of inauthentic characters, the perpetuation of stereotypes, the preservation of insularities, and the continuation of professional and hobbyist cultural failings.
I feel like a lot of games, movies, comics, etc. are guilty of this these days. It's like they are being diverse just for appearances. I haven't read Black Panther, but I think Marvel did a good job with the new muslim Ms. Marvel character. It was written by a muslim woman and didn't come off as pandering to the "sjw" audience. It was just a good comic while also showing the difficulties of becoming a superhero as a muslim girl who doesn't look like a "typical" superhero.
@abrasion: It's not really "hindsight 20/20" because they were directly told about the concept of trespassing and its corresponding indicator under the mini-map during the first elusive target playthrough. It's difficult to understand how two people could both not notice the trespassing indicator, be told about it, then forget about it and not notice it again on later playthroughs.
