Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

So I've been a Zelda fan my entire life, and followed the series through all it's changes. Frankly Twilight Princess was kind of a let down for me. I'm really hoping Skyward Sword will be a better installment and will also provide the series with a much needed change. What do you guys think? Am I wrong to hold mixed emotions on Twilight Princess, and will expectations be exceeded with Skyward Sword?

I lot of people have mixed emotions about Twilight Princess. I actually enjoyed my experience with it on my Wii. It was a long game for me too. I clocked in at around 65 hours. As for Skyward Sword, I'm sure a lot of people have moved on from the series and can't stand or use properly the Wii Remote and Nunchuck. 
 
If it wasn't for Skyrim coming out, I would pick Skyward Sword up day one. But I will eventually play it and I'm sure it's going to be a very good game. Will it change people's minds about the Wii and where the Zelda franchise has and is headed? I don't know. I'll know more by the time I play it around the holidays. That's for sure.

I think you'll enjoy Skyward Sword, which is very presumptuous of me but I just have a good feeling about this game. I didn't like TP either and loved Wind Waker. After all I've seen of Skyward Sword, I'm definitely going to give it another chance.

If the reviews are to be believed, I think Skyward Sword is going to meet your expectations at the very least.

I haven't given up on the franchise. I love Zelda and will continue to buy Nintendo consoles just to play Zelda titles. Spirit Tracks didn't disappoint, and I also LOVED Wind Waker. My one wish for Wind Waker is for a re-release with the omitted dungeons, the game was kind of short to me. The story, tone, and presentation of Wind Waker was really amazing to me though. It's a shame that it's looked at as a "black sheep" of the francise by many. Skyward Sword looks like it has a great deal of potential, especially when hearing about it's game length. Ah, I'm just waiting for the Zelda game that will hit me as hard as Ocarina of Time did. Maybe this will be the one! Looking forward to playing it with my gold Wiimote too! =)

There are "black sheep" in the pantheon of Zelda games. Wind Waker is not one of them. Majora's Mask and Zelda II are more divisive than Wind Waker ever was. Let's not even mention the CDi games.

Oh, and as far as chasing that Zelda dragon, Nintendo still hasn't made another Zelda as good as Link to the Past. They've come close, but I'm still waiting for something to top that for me.

Majora's Mask was so good though! Very dark game. I loved it. i enjoyed that more than TP. =/ Zelda 2, the one Zelda game I will never beat haha
