There are plenty of podcasts where they complain about everyone telling them to play it, but that's about it. No one except Vinny got past the Novigrad part of the game. To be fair, it is a very long game and Vinny didn't finish it until sometime between the first and second DLCs came out.
If I recall correctly, Vinny does talk very briefly about how much he enjoyed it during the Playdates for the DLCs.
IV's are definitely the worst part about this game. I was incredibly lucky recently and pulled four 5 star units over 40 orbs. I pulled a Tana, Katarina, Nephenee, and Elincia when all I really wanted was just Elincia. Unfortunately, the gacha luck comes at a price which is both Nephenee and Elincia came with their worst IV spreads.
Not big on multiplayer games in general which really hurts my interest for this. Tried the beta for a bit, the 3 on 3 is too chaotic for my taste and it feels slow compared to the PSP games. I really just enjoyed the previous games mainly for the fanservice anyway. Between this and DB Fighterz, I'll certainly get a kick out of watching others play but have little interest in actually playing myself.
Glad they put out this demo, V3 fell off my radar for a while but now I'm pumped to pick it up. I wish that the Vita version wasn't so much cheaper than the PS4 version cause I think I like it better playing on a bigger screen.
I think it looks fine, not my first choice of style for a remake but honestly, it would have to look horrendous for me to not be excited for a remake of one of my absolute favorite games. Voice acting seems hit or miss right now. That first line is pretty bad but the second seemed alright. I'm pretty sure I read there will be dual audio so if it does end up being really bad I'll just switch it.
Boy am I excited though, this came out of nowhere. Goddamn that Fear of the Heavens orchestration at the start of the trailer giving me them sweet nostalgia chills.
No , I already got burned by Walmart and I've completely lost interest in the "Hope you aren't sleeping or working in the random 4 minute interval you have to click a few buttons otherwise you miss out" game.
@bigsocrates: Because if she was part of the tribe from the beginning, Aloy would be exploring places and meeting people she already knows which makes for less interesting video game-ness. Also, she most likely wouldn't have found that focus and possibly would never have had a reason to even run in the proving. Suddenly you don't have a story.
A lot of your complaints seem to be directed at Aloy's characterization and while I somewhat agree with one or two points, I think that the writers had a very clear idea of what kind of person they wanted Aloy to be and they fit her into their story as best they could. Whether or not it's well written is a matter of opinion, but I still think I'd prefer the Aloy we got over the more realistic meek, awkward, less intelligent, brooding yet enraged Aloy you'd seem to prefer. While that actually could be a more interesting character, I think putting that one into the game would make how she accomplished anything even more unbelievable.
Oh, and keep in mind that Aloy was created by GAIA. While this is pure conjecture and nature vs. nuture is a conversation for another day, I think being created by a supercomputer might give you some advantages in life.
