I wonder how many preorders this game would need to pull in to secure the lucrative Steve Davis endorsement:

Holy crap, in finding that video, I learned that he retired only two weeks ago. Man played professionally for nearly 40 years!

Great episode, I've watched every one of these at least twice! Please keep em coming! And speaking of David Patrick Kelly being a total weasel...have either Dan or Drew seen The Warriors? Cause that's a prime Film & 40's candidate if there ever was one.

I agree with you...but I'm the guy still holding out for the Mario Kart Arcade GP courses to be released on console at some point.

The Arcade cabs were recently updated and have new content.

So I've heard! Arcade GP DX, right? Sounds awesome. Too bad I'll probably never see a cabinet.

So, about that war chest of disposable money...Nintendo is selling the Seattle Mariners, and Howard Lincoln has retired. It's probably unrelated, but it can't be a good sign.

The whole NX announcement feels like one of those things that wasn't supposed to get out. It's just so half-hearted. Like, if Nintendo wasn't obligated to release this information to shareholders, we certainly wouldn't know about their E3 plans, or lack thereof. They'd have probably just dumped the whole thing on us as a 'surprise', like Blast Ball. How many of you guys even remembered Federation Force was coming out this year?

@sithtoast: I'm pretty sure I still have the N64 promo tape they sent to people lying around somewhere. Man, that thing might be even more 90's.

It would be amazing if they went just a little bit further back for the next episode. Nintendo was doing some amazing stuff with mail-order promo tapes in the SNES Era. And by amazing, I mean that they were made with the finest video editing and butt rock 1994 money could buy! (The actual tape starts at the 4:30 mark.)

I'm a bit disappointed Dan isn't on this, since Metal Gear Solid never would have been made unless Ghost in the Shell blew the fuck up in 1995. The Matrix probably doesn't exist either, now that I think about it. Man, you could lose days of your life thinking about shit like this. Atari almost had the exclusive rights to distribute the Famicom in North America. Given that they managed to lose a console war with no real competition, we're about one handshake deal falling through from talking about pinball or card games right now. Instead, mediocre online shooters based on decent source material. Yay?

Man, why do all the dudes look hyper-generic? Like, they've had their faces remodeled or something to make them look less like the actual characters I remember from Stand Alone Complex back in my Adult Swim Anime days. Shit is unsettling. Especially when they show clips from the show of how they're supposed to look!
