When will it be finished? 0

It seems that the open world superpowers sandbox game is starting to make a return. Since Spider Man 2 got it down back in 2004, games have tried to get a similar style. With Spider Man 3 and Infamous being two of the more recent entries into this genre, how does the other contender, Prototype, hold up?    Prototype puts you in the roll of Alex Mercer, who wakes up to find himself in a morgue about to be dissected, which is never a good thing. After escaping the army, he also learns he has ...

Breaking through the bricks 0

Reviving old and forgotten genres of games seems to be the new thing as of late. We have Geometry Wars reviving the duel-stick shooter genre, Braid and Trine bringing back 2D platformers and well… whatever other old lost genre. Shatter is the newest attempt at this, with Sidhe Interactive attempting to bring back the long forgotten and dormant brick-breaking genre. Some of you may remember past games like Breakout and Arkanoid being major games in this genre. So how does Shatter hold up?    Sh...

Damned from the moment I touched it. 0

Every now and then a game gets released that is an obvious beta. It has issues like having many glitches and having awful gameplay and graphics. I’m talking about this because, clearly, Damnation is one of those games. Trying to pin itself as a combination of Gears of War and Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, this game manages to not live up to either game, nor any other game that rips off of them.    Damnation takes place in an steam punk setting where the Civil War went on another twenty years....

Making the wild west fun again. 0

The original Call of Juarez was met with good sales and reception, leading to a notable wild west game. Call of Juarez starred Billy Candle in his attempt to hunt down the gold of Juarez, a lost treasure that was to pay for Montezuma’s release. Unfortunately, he gets back home just in time to see his step-dad and mom dead, and for his step-uncle to walk in. His step-uncle, Reverend Ray McCall, assumes that Billy killed them and begins to hunt him down. Playing as both Billy and Ray, you wo...

Maybe I'm the weird one? 0

So, after playing Shadow Hearts: Covenant I was about ready to dive into the next game in the series. Covenant was a game that had a fun battle system, crazy cast of characters and, well… A story that, while interesting, was a bit to straightforward for my tastes. There were just not enough twists to keep me hooked. Still, it was a fun game and I enjoyed it. But this review is suppose to be about the third game in the series, Shadow Hearts: From the New World.    From the New World takes place ...

It was all... just business. Play that epic trumpet. 2

I'll admit before I start this review: I never saw Godfather Part II. According to Wikipedia, this game is based off of that movie. Ok, I'll let Wikipedia say that it is. I'm here reviewing a game anyway, and not a movie. So I'll get right into things.  The Godfather II starts off in Havana, Cuba during the year 1958. You play as Dominic. You have no last name. I guess you're just cool that way. The game lets you make a custom character, and the amount of choices are really nice. You can make yo...
